100% agree. Win and I think we have a good shot at 6 wins, a decent shot at 7 wins (if you include the bowl game) and at least a meaningful chance at 8 wins (again, including the bowl game). Lose and hard to see better than 5-7. Very much a yardstick game for me. If Fu was still here, 80-90% sure we come out flat, uninspired and unprepared to play. With Pry, let's see. But I have hope.
mostly agree - I still think it's too early in the Pry era to let a result of a single game tell the whole story of the rebuild. Cuse isn't a good team. But neither are we. I do sincerely hope the team comes out ready to play. I'll be very disappointed if they start flat.
At a certain point though we will need to start winning these games again. I think year 3 should be the measuring stick, but I would sure love for it to start happening in year 2.

It's crazy how different a football team we have been since Marshall, I literally don't recognize this team....going to Drones and changing the offense to his skill sets has been remarkable.
Defense has looked much better. Run fits have been there and the pass rush has been intense. Coverage has been ok.
Our playcalling on both sides of the ball looks good. Like, we ran an actual honest to God 5 yard slant tonight that took advantage of a 10 yard cushion presnap. That's the kind of shit I've been begging for us to do for 20 years.
