Wake Forest at Duke is currently the most interesting watch tonight (unless you're big into the NFL)
A few interesting matchups ahead to look forward to this weekend also. (I'll update w/ schedule when I'm not distracted by the game)
Friday's games:
Boston College @ Syracuse
Colorado State @ Wyoming

Wake currently up on Duke, 7-0. ...A Riley-less Duke, but still.
Protected rivalry in the ACC. A Tobacco Road thriller!
And from the shots of the crowd it was witnessed by DOZENS OF PEOPLE in the stadium!
LOL-that's the meme I had in mind when I posted.
Clawson trying to break Zuck's blink per minute record in that post halftime interview.
I feel better about this weekend with Wake being efficient on offense on a Duke Defense that held UofL to 23. We made Griffis really struggle and Duke isn't. And Elko's defenses aren't the easiest to play against.
If we show up ready for a war this weekend, we have a chance. Only a take no prisoners attitude will win
There was a possum on the field in the TCU/TT game:
It was caught:
That's friggin hilarious!
The look on it's face as it's being dragged away has me dying!
Can't find it anymore but there was a video of it literally prancing down the field with I swear a smile on its face.
There's a link on r/CFB of that clip. Lol. It looked so pleased with itself.
I'll see if I can find it and post it

"Rodents of unusual size showing up in Lubbock."
I love it! And Dred Pirate Roberts fits in with the whole Red Raiders theme.
Seeing Deion planning to demote his offensive coordinator for the failure of a coach Pat Shurmur. Real kick in the teeth for Sean Lewis because apparently he will still be the one calling the plays in but not actually calling the plays. Colorado's offense has averaged 32.5 ppg but has zero running game as they may have the worst offensive line in college football.
Lewis was head coach at Kent State before taking this job so I can't see him staying in this ridiculous situation for long.
Most believe this is a knee jerk reaction because PrimeTime's kid took 7 sacks last week. Honestly hope it all blows up on him and Colorado offense is a dumpster fire the rest of the season.
Instant gratification

What we did see was Shurmur's debut, which included two quarters where Colorado failed to gain more than 26 yards. The Buffs punted seven times including forcing themselves at the end of the half due to poor clock management. CU held the ball at their own four-yard line with less than a minute left and only kept it for 28 seconds. That led to a 33-yard return including a penalty and a one-play touchdown drive that started in the black and gold's own red zone. It would be the single score that ended up separating the two teams at nights end.
"I'm not going to disclose all my thoughts, my thoughts are my thoughts. I'm not going to disclose when I make a decision to do something," Prime said. "Just know I made a decision and I don't stumble or stutter on it. I'm not looking back, it is what it is and that's what it's going to be. I made a decision to help this team win. You guys don't know all the intangibles in it, you just from the outside of the crib looking in. I got tinted windows and you can't even see in the house but you're making conclusions on what I should or shouldn't do."
Sanders of course came to our house in Colorado maybe without the close up knowledge of Shurmur's failures in Denver. Prime said he doesn't want to use the word demotion because everyone is still making the same amount of money but it was just movement around the staff. He was further pressed about the change and for the first time in his CU tenure continued to not give any real insight into the questionable choice.
"You know how we've been doing it for the entire year? When we're in the big meeting room, all these guys are in the room (sic) Coach Shurmur has had a tremendous influence on suggesting things this entire season, that has not changed," he said. "Now you just have a tremendous influence in not just suggesting but calling it. These things are not changing, it's still a group effort. It's not one guy doing good or bad, it's a team effort last time I checked. So we're going to consistently do what's best for us to win. Both of these guys are really talented men, they both can contribute tremendously. You're looking at two guys with two different references of experience and that's wonderful. A guy that's gleaned almost 30 years from the pros and another guy from college, that's a phenomenal look. You need that unity coaching-wise, great question."
Of Colorado's 19 points, two came from a PAT returned fumble and three came on a field goal from a five-play drive that started in plus territory thanks to a turnover. Before Saturday the team's worst scoring outing at home was a 36-point day against Nebraska in a win.
Shurmur's black and gold offense was the same as it was in orange and blue, bad and boring. As CU took a step back, Sanders didn't offer much of an explanation as to why the Buffs saw it necessary for the change.
As for the hot young coordinator in Lewis, who likely has been Colorado's best man in the gig in over a decade. He has already helped Prime bring in some big names for the future and score big wins this season for son and team—he was embarrassed this week and demoted, no matter what Deion says.
If Deon doesn't want Sean Lewis, I'll be happy to have him on our staff.
I'm really interested to see how Colorado is doing in 3-4 years, if Deion is still coaching.
I'm fully expecting for Deion to yeet off to Michigan State this offseason for some mega lols
I think he will stick at Colorado for a couple more seasons to see his boys to pro football and also his daughter Shelomi is on the Colorado women's basketball team.
Would just be hilarious for him to pump.thst fanbase up and then leave for Michigan State just like Mel Tucker did
Syracuse BC game borderline unwatchable with the terrible camera angles produced in the carrier dome
Good thing we have a spicy mountain west rivalry just getting started.
*checks score*
Both are one score games, but the border war seems way more competitive and fun to watch.
So have all of the last 3 teams we beat started a new QB in their next game?
Yeah, Pitt and Wake were on purpose. Shrader was supposedly injured against us which isn't surprising after 8 sacks.
Huh really? I didn't hear Babers complaining about his oline to the national media, seems like Dino needs to get on that if he wants ESPN coverage 24/7. /s
Fans have started chanting Fire Dino.
They were yelling it at their tvs last week.
Lies. That would require them to have fans.
This Syracuse-BC game actually has me missing the offensive fireworks of our Camping World Bowl vs. Rutgers. This is just horrible.
Bc is bowl eligible and in a decent position to go to Charlotte (with a little help). Idk if we win tomorrow but if we do that bc game suddenly looks huge for both teams
BC should just rest Castellanos next week after becoming bowl eligible
We are late enough in the year for Castellanos to go completely ice cold and so ineffective it actively starts losing his teams some games while he's swinging at pitches 15 feet outside the strike zone.
Are you guys talking about the same castellanos?
[Insert squinty Fry.gif]
I don't get the trivia question that was just in Gameday. Bama just clinched its 16th straight winning season, who are the other FBS teams with longer streaks? I guess they meant active streaks but they didn't say that. Had Boise, Wisconsin, and Okie State. Assuming those were active streaks but didn't phrase it that way. VT had a 25 year winning season streak from 1993-2017.
Really awful showing by the fans at Rutgers. 6-2 is your best start in God knows when, you have the #1 team in the country in the playoff rankings visiting, it is a nice day here in NJ, and you have lots of empty seats in the upper deck as well as plenty at the end.
And the team is hanging in there with OSU.
Rutgers with almost the old fumblerooski (spelling = ?) play to convert 4th and 1. Has a chance to tie up OSU.
If this Clemson-Notre Dame score holds, they will be 9 games into this season with their two best performances coming against FSU and Notre Dame... and they will be 5-4.
ND hasn't shown they are truly that good.
Sure. I'm talking about this as if you told a college football fan that before the season there's no way anyone would believe you.
And Rutgers takes the lead over Ohio State at the half 9-7. And watching the game, it's not a fluke. Rutgers has outplayed them in the first half. Just have not been able to get the ball into the end zone with 1st and goal. Assume OSU pulls it together in the second half, but feeling better about our loss there. Also hard to imagine OSU beating Michigan unless Michigan has a bad game.
Rutgers looking like VT in the red zone but hat's off to them for the way they've played this first half.
Totally. If not for (1) the bad snap on the punt and (2) inability to score TDs from first and goal inside the 5, it could easily be 17-0 Rutgers.
A lot of these noon games are close.
Thought the new FBS matchups were kinda neat- Jax State is hanging in there with USCe in the battle of the Gamecocks.
And next year's new FBS member, the Kennesaw State Owls is beating Sam Houston Sycamore 14-0.
To be* fair, Sam Houston St (nothing personal to the kids) is a low bar, especially with Corny in control of the offense.
JVILLE ST giving SCAR a game.
Yeah, I'm really surprised by this honestly.
They are very injured, but still not a good look.
Notre Dame forces a fumble to get another chance to tie the game late in the fourth. KSU vs. Texas and TAMU vs. Ole Miss also within one score with just a few minutes to go in each.
Air Force getting destroyed by Army as well. Could be 1 less undefeated team in a couple hours.
Bummer Texas won. Hoping to not see either Texas or Oklahoma in the Big12 Championship. KSU just needed to hit the blasted extra point.
Florida State trailing Pitt.
ACC Chaos lives.
Surely the Pitt top 10 team superweapon can't fire twice in the same season?
I guess not.
Oklahoma-Oklahoma State very entertaining at the end. Sucks that the series will end. These teams should just dump whatever season opening non-conference games they have, pay the fees and schedule this as the first game every year.
Edit: Great 4th down stop by Oklahoma State to seal the win. Oklahoma kind of got screwed on a bad non-call on a pretty bad pass interference in the end zone, on the prior drive.
How many points would USC and Washington have against VTs defense? Cause they sure are having trouble stopping each other.
This USC v UW game is funnnn. Completely different sport for the top 8-10 teams tbh
Don't look now, but San Houston State actually won a game. Scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to beat Kennesaw State 24-21. Corn is on a roll! /s
