Injured Guys, Play or Rest 'Em?

D.J. Coles, Luther Maddy, Antoine Hopkins, Bruce Taylor, Tariq Edwards are all listed as blue limited contact on the updated depth chart. Coles isn't at practice today because he's at the doctor. What do you think, even if they're close to 100% by the end of the week should they still rest against Peay, or do you think working through the injury in a game environment would be beneficial for their recovery?

Agree 100%

If we can't hold (our) Peay without them, then we don't deserve a win.

Sorry I had to.

Rest!

Rest Coles. Edwards should not even be in the discussion until the Cincy game.

I had no idea that Taylor and AHop were dinged up. I don't mind Taylor getting limited snaps based on their faith in Chase Williams. AHop needs the work based on his limited mobility down the stretch of the GT game.

Maddy didn't look right. I hope Goforth proceeds with caution there.

Remember folks, this week may be a cupcake, but 3 games in 12 days is no joke no matter who you play. With the GT game being so rough, proceed with caution.

It looks like he'll be eligible.

** The injury or illness does not have to occur during practice/competition, but it must be incapacitating.

** Appropriate medical documentation must exist and be provided.

Since we are not in any way

Since we are not in the national title hunt in any way, shape, or form, I would say that the only games that matter are league games. That being said, I would rest all of them until either a) they are ready to play at 100% or b) league play starts up again.

I know 3 games in 12 days isn't a joke but in the grand scheme of things, OOC games really only hurt our pride. I'm more concerned with league play as UVA's ACC schedule is soft enough to wipe my ass. If they can't play at 100%, rest until they can.

Rest

Away games against UNC, Clemson, and Miami in a few weeks. We'll need all hands on deck. FSU is now without Reid (dismissal) and Jenkins (injury). We don't want to lose any starters.

If anything, we know the benefits of having a deep defensive corps of experienced ass-whoopers. Just look at our Front-7.

Why on God's green earth would we need these guys? There's depth at each one of these positions and the more reps the better for the rest of the fellas in rotation. I wouldn't even leave the starters in after the first quarter. In case anyone is worried about Return of the Duke Dog type scenario, don't. The Dukes are on the cusp of trying to get to D1 at least. Austin Peay plays in the Ohio Valley conference (think WAC of the FBS). Risking injury just to show how much we can demolish a team like this is irresponsible and unfair.

I just hope fans have a fun time at Lane and welcome these guys with open arms. If going to analyze the team I'd keep an eye out on 2nd and 3rd string guys. especially at the QB position.
