I had no inklings of which reserve OL were likely to transfer, but with us clearly targeting multiple OL in the portal, we were going to need some to leave. We have a lot of OL on the roster right now.
Looking at the list of portal offers, I have to think that the list of people coming back could be shorter than the list of people staying
That's never a good thing for OL. You can't portal your way to a successful P5 O line. We absolutely need to hang on to young guys who can contribute: Chaplin, Ghannam, Meadows, Braelin Moore and probably Kaden Moore (at guard) and Johnny Garrett as well for depth.
We have no idea yet about Arena, Hammer, and Lance Williams, they should all probably get at least another year to see if they can contribute.
Everyone else I'm fine with hitting the portal, that gives us 4 or 5 scholarships to bring other guys in. I'm skeptical how many will pan out but if we can get 2 solid contributors to replace #70 and 75 that will be a win
I could be completely wrong but a center is the biggest need and then potentially a tackle, not sure if replacing Clements or a Moore brother is more important, but replacing more 2 guys on the line is going to be rough. But atleast 1 starter needs to be found.
Louisville? Duke? it can be done, but it is not easy, or likely sustainable.
Yup. There aren't a lot of OL that I would be concerned about leaving assuming we replace them in the portal.
Reading that headline too quickly resulted in me thinking of this:

Well played. For awhile Jimmy Dickens was my favorite character. Then Auntie Tanis came to town.
I don't make many hard ciders, but when I do, they are called Hard Dicken's Cider
Great commercial!
Everybody loves a good Dickens Cider!
Not to be confused with Cumin Cider
Or a hot Dickens Cider! And don't forget the 40 oz also known as the Big Dickens Cider.
I thought he had a future at center
To be fair, if any OL on this roster couldn't beat out any of our starting OL, are they ever going to play?
OL takes a long time to develop. That's why most of the best OLs are old. He was only in his second year and on his second coach. We don't know how good he could end up being.
