i went to kghs, dad worked at nswc. didnt know any such place exists there, but i havent been back in like 15 years

I work at NSWC now, and my daughter is in 9th at KGHS. Small world.
Things have changed a bunch since I was last there. Where is the new HS? Ours was the building right across from the Fas Mart, which I think is the new Middle School?
Is The Pit still around or are they playing somewhere else these days?
edit: ah, just checked Google Maps. Looks like they moved the new HS next to the old one and have an on campus field now. Thats a shame, we had a real advantage down in The Pit, which was behind the old elementary school (not sure what thats being used for these days).
Yeah, the old HS is the new MS (where I also have a daughter at). The old MS is vacant, but may become a new ES. They built the new HS right next to the old one. The Pit is still there, we had a soccer game there last year. The old ES is School Board offices, and the gym there is open for rentals from Parks & Rec. They make for a great kiddo birthday party venue.
You wouldn't recognize the Dahlgren area near NSWC's B-gate, since the Walmart opened there. We even have a Chick-Fil-A now!
I co-oped at NSWC from 01-04 (only way I got out of Tech with < $5K loans): we were so excited when the Sheetz came in! Apparently theres a Walmart somewhere that way now?
That B gate has the B team guards also. Summer of 04 I got waved on by one guard, another guard pulls up on me when I get to my building with a shotgun on me like I just plowed through. Family friend was high up in the MP there and we got that fucker in a whole world of shit.
The pit-played in the pit quite a few times from little league thru high school. It was a nice field. Always enjoyed playing there
