I wish the schools out there the best. Few things I'd enjoy more in the CFB than see the cast offs beat up on the Big 10 and SEC.
Lol nice
Also it's not really introducing -- isnt this the conference Gonzaga plays in?
Yes, this is an already existing conference that Wazzou and Oregon State are joining for everything except football
I was bamboozled by a misleading thread title!
Fixed
Hoodwinked!
Mt Hoodwinked
Could be a nice landing spot for Florida State if they go independent for a while
For anyone following this - Washington judge ruled that Wazzou and Oregon have the right to distribute all P12 revenue as they see fit (within reason), so those schools are getting a fat paycheck while 10 other schools will likely get half the expected revenue, and Wazzou/OrSU will get a windfall
That's so awesome if it actually happens. 6x the original shares? That's way more than the SEC and Big 10 this year. Build a new stadium or something, do it up
It won't be 6x. From one of many pieces on this:
My guess is that WSU and OrSU will keep ~2x their normal payout, as well as all other stuff (IP, remaining inventory, etc) and the other schools will essentially get $5m each shaved off the top. Just a guess based on all the stuff I've read.
The big issue was the stored millions in assets that the leaving members wanted to take.
Quit following off-season news for a year and now I have no idea what's going on in CFB. 😂
NIL? Stanford? 😜
