Ironically, "slim" used to be my nickname too. That was about 40 years and 30 pounds ago.
Hey Chris I see that the Iditarod is one month away and that page drobny is in it again. are you going to be doing your commentary again?looking forward to it!
Yep, absolutely planning on doing that coverage again. Need to renew my Iditarod Insiders to be able to get everyone's GPS positions. Was going to do that soon.
Awesome.....looking forward to it!
The real sport to follow in March.
Gonna go ahead and bet that it's Seavey.

If you grew up in Atlanta (and are GenX or older), then this gets stuck in your head whenever the subject of Loganville, GA comes up. WHEERRRRRRRRE'S LOGANVILLE?!?

How about this banger?
I used to have this song on my iPod shuffle
This was a staple in my apartment during the 2005-06 school year.
thanks for adapting quickly to include 247 links in all of these, lieutenant rob!
No worries, Class of 26 in most cases are not yet on 247Sports so those may or may not have links

I'm imagining getting 5 guys this size and nobody on defense being able to see a thing in the backfield.
That'll be true
....
Watson 5'11"
Wittke 6'1"
Belfort 5'10
Ryan 6'1"
....
That view (or lack their of) does go both ways though.
Some smoke we may get a couple more guys in the boat this month. Would love some early momentum for this class since it's projected to be a larger one
pls n thx
Can you do us a solid? Do you have any insider kno...*err* information on where Knahlij might go to coll...*err* University?
3 cbs today!
"We may get a couple more guys in the boat this month" has me thinking ...

Also multiple CB's for Terrance Edwards who has a big boy offer list.

Faheem Delane has set his official visit for June 21-23
Nice
Hopefully we can sway him from going Ohio State
My prediction is he commits to Ohio State, comes to watch his brother at a bunch of home games, and flips in November
The only hiccup for Ohio State was they abruptly fired his primary recruiter as part of their staff shakeup. The secondary coach there was not retained and Delane posted on Twitter that he was not a fan of that move.
I think he was showing a lot of love for Oregon after that, right?
WADR, he's not coming to VT
Kendall Fuller did...and the program was declining at that time. At least now we're seemingly rising
Shaping up to be a big weekend. Skylar Harvey will be in the same dates as Delane
6-7, 330 lbs out of Archbishop Curley (MD)
Unranked as of yet, but if Pitt and BC have offered, I assume he's a solid prospect.
6-7" 330 is quite solid indeed.

Love seeing all the .88+ ratings. Raise that talent floor, baby.

86 rated RB from Woodbridge

Completely underrated. Hope he chooses to stay home instead of tOSU or PSU.
I think his rating will rise significantly after the summer eval period
Any relation to Nashon?
Outside of the fact that his HUDL video is some of the worst film (quality wise) I've seen in over 15 years, I think this kid is going to rise in the rankings this Fall. I would put it like this, Devin Ford is/was the poor mans version of Jeff Overton.
Similar running styles and speed (based on the film. I'm sure it's different in person), but Overton seems to have a bit better balance and certainly possesses a knack for slipping through and getting away from tackles. this would be a great pickup whether his ranking goes up or not.
Probably 2nd biggest recruit on the board for us. 93 rated ATH looking to play both FB and Baseball. From Bridgewater

Asking somebody that has a better understanding than me: are these June officials a good thing? I feel like you'd want these high profile players to have their official visits during a game and when students are on campus?
Football official visits often take place these days in early summer (think dead period starts sometime in July?). With the early signing day, a lot more players are committing to a school before their senior year, so waiting until football season would be missing the boat.
Official visits also are more time intensive with core football staff, so I'm not sure actually how often teams do them during normal football weekends; those are usually reserved for larger unofficial visitor groups (we had 100+ at some games last fall) where players may get small face to face time with coaches but are mostly managed by the recruiting staff.
I also believe there is a date when official offers for a recruting class can be extended (sometime in the late fall), and I don't think you are allowed to hold official visits prior to that time, since there are (or were) limits to how many official visits each team can hold.
Could also do some digging and see when they're planning their OVs to other schools (Bama, PSU, anOSU, etc).

Do we know if VT pays cash to these high school kids that haven't proven anything yet to show up on campus? or is that just a tennessee, aTm, kansas hoops garbage cesspool thing?
I have never heard of anything you are referencing but seems like it could use its own thread?
Some coaches were claiming that top recruits were asking for payments (under NIL off course) for them to take official visits.
probably!
Considering Tech has prioritized NIL $$ to retain top talent and key transfers, I doubt it. If they want $$ just to secure a visit there is no way in hell we can compete to actually land them on campus, so what's the point?
