The #16 Hokies (19-4, 10-2) host Boston College (11-14, 3-9) Sunday at 1PM. The game is an ACC Network extra game. This should be the last easier game until we end the season with LOLUVA. After this game, we host Duke, visit Louisville, host UNC, visit Notre Dame before finishing at LOLUVA. There is no excuse to lose this game unless we fail to take BC seriously. Coach Brooks has been good at keeping the team focused on one game at a time.
The Hokies should have a height advantage in this game, especially when Strack and Kitley are on the floor together. Their tallest player #16 Krasovec only plays about 10 min/game. Everyone else who plays regularly is 6'1 or less.
Their three conference wins are Miami, Wake Forest and PIttsburgh.
They do have 4 players averaging double digit scoring and they play a lot of players. Six players average 20-30 min/game and four more average 10-13 min. They average one more TO than assist per game and lose the rebound battle by 1.5 per game. Against the Hokies they should do worse than that. They only shoot 43% overall and 27% from three.
I hope the ladies don't take the afternoon off like the men did today. If things go as they should, we should be able to get the starters some rest this game and continue to develop the other players.

Could be assists if Strack plays a bunch, Kitley loves to set her up.
Assists is a better possibility.
They could run the offense like the Bulls did with Rodman. Put Kitley at the elbow and keep passing it in to her until she sees an open shooter. She could go directly back to Amoore, find King or Ekh on the wing or hit Strack or Ekh cutting to the other side of the basket. Every third or fourth time she shoots to make the defense take her seriously as an offensive threat.
I think the best hope for that would be assists. If she starts passing instead of shooting after she has 10 points, she could rack up a bunch of assists.
First game I am going to miss in Cassell this year. Today is last day of quarantine from COVID.

I have fios and watch on watchespn on the computer or on the app with no problems. Just have to sign in with your fios account.

This is a great point. I feel like she's usually a lock down defender too, and BC has been going at her all game

Crazy thing is with a line of ~18 pts, we're "on pace" or pretty close to it. Obviously feels like we could and should be up by nearly that much if one or two additional 3's fell, or if some of BCs tough looks don't fall.

The crazy part is they spent three minutes trying to decide to upgrade the foul on Amoore, and thirty seconds later Kitley takes an elbow to the head and they almost called a walk on Kitley as she was staggered. Hers was never even looked at for upgrading.
