I dont understand why they let BC just bludgeon us in every sport every game. Looked bad at times but a win is a win. Shame we couldnt rest starters for duke

Glad someone tried to call them out. When a player is as dominate as Liz is, players have to be more aggressive. More aggressiveness means more fouls. Yet I RARELY see fouls called on her defenders. It's mind boggling.

Sheesh. That's some bullshit.
Refs main job is to control the action for protection of the players.
It's the old debate, but that would be assault if not on a basketball court.

There were seven clear elbows in the game. Kitley caught three, Summiel two and Amoore two. Only one to Amoore was deemed a technical and only two were even called fouls.

Are we sending game footage to the head office? I mean, it's been pretty visible in the tape, right? At what point do we expect our Athletic department to start making noise about this? I feel like a highlight reel of players getting elbowed and the resulting no call would be good social media fodder, right?

There are probably rules against doing that. If there weren't we would have seen other ACC schools do it already. We won't know if Whit and CKB are sending in video or not, or if there is any actions that result from those submissions.

I know football can send in plays to the ACC offices "for clarification". I don't know why any other sport wouldn't be able to do the same or if it would do any good, but you would think if enough schools did it they might do something about it.
The Louisville coach went off during their post game about the intentional foul call at the end of the game against the Cuse. He flat out said he knows he would be fined but something had to be said about the officiating.

To be clear, the rules I was referring to were in regard to spamming social media with questionable calls from official VT social media accounts. I suspect there are mechanisms in place to allow coaches to get clarifications on (non) calls during a game.

Have the student section come in helmets, those eye masks they wear after a broken nose, elbow pads, (a few dressed as refs in knee pads π), etc and make a big stink about it all game. IF the ACC wants to show up in the big dance, they better make sure the top players in the conference can make it on the court in March

Brooks called out the officials a little in the post game interview. He said Kitley gets beaten like that every game and was a little surprised she came back for another year.

Lots of potential move up opportunities if we keep winning.
Thursday: #6 NC State at #16 Notre Dame
Friday: #8 Colorado at #22 Utah
Friday: #9 UCLA at #11 Oregon St
Sunday: #10 USC at #11 Oregon St
Also:
Wednesday: #2 Ohio St vs a Nebraska team that just knocked off Iowa
Wednesday: #7 Kansas St at Iowa St
Thursday: #4 Iowa vs Michigan (How do they respond after the loss)
Saturday: #5 Texas vs Iowa St
If the Home teams in the ranked matchups above us all win, we could be up to 8th by next week.

Additionally, with 6 total gamedays remaining in the ACC (only 5 for VT). Those who can still take 1st from Tech (11-2) are:
Syracuse (10-3) 1.5 games back
Louisville (9-3) 1.5 games back
NC State (9-3) 2 games back
Duke (8-4) 2.5 games back
Notre Dame (8-4) 2.5 games back
Florida State (8-5) 2.5 games back
UNC (7-5) 4 games back
Miami (6-6) 5 games back

There is a reason the ACC is expected to send 9 teams to the big dance. Incredible performances this year especially from NC State and Syracuse who were expected to end up near the bottom of the conference.
Kind of happy that Louisville is doing as well as or better than they did with Ms. Van Lith.

Still atop the ACC. Fam.
FAM!!

Bam Bam FAM!!!
FAM! 50 from the Queens of the Cassel!
FAM! maybe in about 12 years Kitley won't have a giant egg on her forehead- I swear teams just zero in on her to bring it back every week.
Positive is that's a game the men's team loses 9/10 times
Will take the over
Hokies win and Nebraska holds Flopper Clark scoreless in 4th quarter to beat Iowa FAM.
Double FAM!
The win probability chart of that game warms my heart and soul. Couldn't happen to a better flopper.
Glad to see Coach Brooks standing up for our players in the postgame presser
BC Postgame Presser
CKB is a great coach. I can see why great players want to play for him and VT.
Saw pic of Kitley with 2 huge knots on her forehead.
BC pregame locker room track must have included Sunday Bloody Sunday.

This is one that Kitley took that was called a common foul with no review.
Explain to me where the "basketball play" is in this suplex elbow.
we need to roll Kitley out in in this next game...kidding, not kidding

It's not even close to a basketball move. There was definitely intent with the way that elbow came down.
That's pretty flagrant and unnecessary.
There should be repercussions for a move like that.
FTFY

Here is a face on angle showing the two mountains on her forehead
Kitley every fucking game:

We still got the W FAM!
Still lead the ACC! FAM!
Louisville dropped one to Syracuse, too and they were just a half game back from us. Still need to win out but anyway...
Ladies moved up to #12
Oregon State jumped the Hokies with two ranked wins. Hokies move up with Louisville, Notre Dame, UConn falling and LSU and Indiana staying put.
NC State only fell three spots to #6 after the loss.
ESPN moved us up to #6 in their power rankings. So, someone is noticing us, but whatever. Just win baby.
Lots of potential move up opportunities if we keep winning.
Thursday: #6 NC State at #16 Notre Dame

We play 4 of those teams followed by a tune-up game against LOLUVa before the tournament. So we can just crush their dreams one at a time.
Iowa State defeated #7 Kansas St
At least 3 teams ahead of Hokies will lose this week with
#9 UCLA at #11 Oregon State on Friday
#10 USC at #11 Oregon State on Sunday
#6 NC St plays at #16 Notre Dame tomorrow as well.
Hokies are seeking revenge tomorrow and then go to #18 Louisville on Sunday.
