Have you made sure you are currently connected to the internet?

Is your computer connected to the electrical grid? Or does it contain its own source of electricity that is at a capacity above zero?

I think you have to give your sole to #TeamPie before you're allowed to view the article?

No way in hell I'm parting with my soles. They make walking comfortable.

I don't know why, but this one made me laugh out loud. Turkey leg for you and sad panda for me for having a sad enough life that this made me laugh out loud

in Fuller we trust

No matter who it ends up being, he'll have more success in one season, than any of the Hoos' QBs in their whole career.

I'm all for the best guy playing, but it seems to me like the obvious way to approach it is to anticipate Durkin, Ford and McMillan redshirting leaving Leal and Brewer (& co.) fight it out. GO HOKIES!

I joined that line of thinking until I found out Brewer had no starting experience and marginally more in game experience. I though he played more than he actually did, but now I'm back to whoever manages to win it. If the Freshmen don't and redshirt, awesome. If one doesn't, awesome.

Now if the upperclassmen had more than one year left I'd be seriously wanting them to win it and redshirt the newbies. I'd rather the freshmen not redshirt and play for 4 years if they marginally beat out Brewer or Leal. I want to experience the nervousness of seeing a new starting QB as little as possible.

It's hard to imagine good players staying 4 years anymore, unfortunately. Redshirting is a way for them to develop. Im willing to guess QBs grow more in their first year they all the others combined. Much harder to learn on the field. Freshman sensations like Johnny 'football' are a rare exception. Which leads me to my next point- Brewer was ranked 13th by Rivals coming out of HS. Johnny Manziel was 14th. GO HOKIES!

didn't manziel redshirt?

Onward and upward

yes - even more the reason!

My understanding is that Brewer has two years of eligibility left. If he wins the job he'd presumably be the favorite to start again in '15, which would give the freshmen two years to prepare. IMO that's the best outcome for everyone not named Leal.

Not according to the players promised a chance at early play time.

Who'd we promise that to? Durkin was promised a chance to compete and I don't think Ford was.

I'm all for each of them having a chance. But I think the best outcome for the team is for Brewer to come in and win the job because that gives CSL a full two years to prep Ford/Durkin/McMillan. Obviously that means that Brewer has to be better than the rest -- I wasn't suggesting that he be given the job just because that makes the timing optimal.

Ahhh. I just heard since he was going to be working on graduate degree at VT he could play immediately due to the Russell Wilson Rule. Every player I've heard of use that only had 1 year left, but having two only requires finishing a degree in 3 years. Then my opinion on the situation changes again.

I say it'd be best to let Ford, Durkin, and McMillan fight it out and Hackenburg the hell outta this thing.

Im all for them playing day 1 if they are the BEST option.
Keep the redshirt in the back pocket if not.

Andy, it's forgivable because he's listed as a FB, but you forgot Sam Rogers.

Not to mention there is the potential for putting any Fuller at Quarterback.
