So, who is planning on going?
I will be there. Might have to make a sign to hang right behind the visitors bench for last game.
My sign: E$ECPN
Factually correct
Factually correct, but a bit odd to welcome Gameday to VT with.
I say show them some unconditional love on the rare occasions they show up at VT.
Agree with this sentiment. Praise Kitley and Amore instead.
I'm kidding, won't be there anyway.
The one-hour show will begin at 11 a.m. ET on Carilion Clinic Court. To help maximize the viewing experience, fans will be asked to sit on the west side, which is behind the teams' benches. Gates will open for students on the Washington Street side of Cassell at 9:30 a.m. The first 100 students at ESPN College GameDay will receive a T-shirt upon entry. Gates for the general public will open from the Beamer Way side of Cassell at 9:45 a.m.
Well, I am not going to get there until 1 at the earliest. I wonder if we will have to get assistance getting people out of our seats on the west side.
That should work. Actually you only need one man for the job...
Given that GameDay ends at Noon and the game doesn't start until 2pm, you would hope they could clear folks out in between.
Slightly OT--looking at the ESPN bracketology I knew we were bumped up to 3 seed, but that's with the Automatic Qualifier (acc tourney win). I wonder what else they are considering. Some of it obviously is the other teams from around the country, but last year's ring got a 1 seed.
As it stands now if they win out, including ACC Tourney they are likely going to finish somewhere between 3rd and 6th so would likely be either a 1 or 2 seed. Really depends on who else loses ahead of them. SCar could probably lose twice and still get a 1 seed. Really need Stanford, Texas and Ohio State to lose at least one, maybe two which is unlikely.
So Car, Stanford, Ohio State, Texas, Oregon St, Iowa, NC State, and USC are ahead of us, in that order.
Ohio State and Iowa play next Sunday
Stanford and Oregon St play Thursday.
If we win out, that would put us no worse than the top 2-seed.
NC State, Iowa and Stanford all lost this week. USC beat Colorado. Hokies may be 5th in next Top 25 if they win today.
And nc st just lost again, to duke
now dammit they are starting to tarnish our wins
I'm pretty sure for Bracketology they use the current #1 in the conference standings as the AQ, not necessarily projecting them as winning the conference tournament, and counting the wins that would come with that.
They definitely should have had a ball for the segment with Liz and Georgia. Would have been a way better demonstration.
Sure looked like Georgia and Liz didn't want to give away too much of how they operate.
Kenny's sweatshirt is awesome!
Jello shots!!!
I loved the caitlin clark clip where the panel called out the ridiculous foul calls she gets
That was a few million dollars worth of free advertising for the university and the women's program.
Loved seeing Kitley and Amoore's genuine enjoyment of it all. That's got to be huge recruiting boost for Brooks.
Yeah, especially against the blue boods. At VT you won't get lost in the noise of the men's programs. Hokie Nation is something special...and we are hungry!
