Regarding the tweets in the thread, why does @HokiesBaseball do this? I click on the embedded video expecting to see a highlight of the play in question, and it only shows the player pose. The text makes you think there's a highlight in there. Irritating.

Because the game likely wasn't filmed and available when the HRs happened but they wanted them up on social media when they happened so they resort to a pre-filmed player pose. The game was at Radford so not sure what their Video capability is.

Baseball is not the only ones that do it. Have seen similar from softball, swim/dive, lacrosse, soccer and track/field.
