The Ladies play Miami in Greensboro at 1:30 Friday. The game is on the ACC Network.
Don't have time to do much with this as I am on the road back to PA from Florida. I hope to get home tomorrow in time to watch the game. I think this game will not be too tough if Kitley is healthy and plays. If we have to play without Kitley, the game is still winnable. But Strack and someone else, Ekh?, are going to have to step up to complement Amoore. King shooting like she can but has not recently would also be helpful. Summiel will need to strong on the boards.
Maybe some of you can add some color to this.

Our only game against Miami this season was on January 11 in Cassell. Hokies won 76-52.
Hopefully with a week of practice at center, Strack will be ready to show us all what she can do. Summiel dominating the boards and Ekh and King knocking down 3's will show us, and the committee, that we are more than just Kitley and Amoore.

FWIW: Someone I know that lives in Bburg said the rumor was Kitley's ACL is blown and they're just not revealing that info.

To be fair that doesn't mean too much. I had a friend in college who had a torn acl in college for a long time. Looked completely normal as long as he didn't try to run.

What is and what isnt a foul is so hard to determine today.
Seems like bumps with the body are being allowed as long as there is a corresponding clean play on the ball (block, steal, rebound). Hacks on the arm that clearly affect the player with the ball are getting called.
Seems like "incidental" contact is being allowed pretty consistently for both sides.
Amoore's offensive foul was a bad call, but her other foul she got caught hacking the Miami player on the arm after turning the ball over.
Yeah, a lot of our early blocks came w/ a whole lot of body as well, none of which were called thankfully.
Good first half, especially considering foul trouble for Amoore. A few careless turnovers are keeping Miami in the game.
So far so good, especially with Amoore a non factor so far. I expect her to go off for 30 in the second half. Strack is stepping up big time. Watched the first half on my lunch hour....will have to watch the second half on replay later.

They are really missing Kitley on the defensive boards. Miami is getting too many offensive rebounds because we are not boxing out.
I think if we can win a game or two without Kitley, Amoore comes back, without question.

I decided to cheat and work and turned on game. Watched us go from a 2 point game to an 8 point game.

It's odd that Sumiel isn't playing much today but maybe Kenny is resting her for tomorrow. I like the fight we showed today. Even when our shots weren't falling, our D stepped up. It helped that Miami missed so many shots but any win is a good win. FAM!
