What everyone expecting? Saw that the Hokies will not have a watch party so have to think thats in case they arent selected to host.
Do we also get the Kitley update after the selection?
What else are you looking for?
How many teams does the ACC get into the tournament?
Holly Rowe from ESPN being Caitlin Clark's beat reporter who's only focus in either Tourney will be Clark.

Not being in the same quadrant as Notre Dame.
I sure hope Kitley's back.
We only need to be a 4-seed or better to host, right? I'm pretty sure we'll still get that, unless the committee is operating on the assumption Kitley won't be able to play, which they shouldn't be.
Maybe no watch party is just a business as usual thing, or because we won't be a top 4 overall seed.
Yes 1-4 are host selections for each Region.
They had a watch party the last three seasons so not exactly business as usual and last year's was broadcasted on multiple media streams.
I meant more like at this point, we don't feel like we need a public watch party just for making the tournament business as usual, but I get what you're saying.
I'm hoping, and hoping expecting a 4 seed. That would allow us to host the first two rounds at a sold out Cassell. Hoping to avoid S. Carolina in the Sweet 16 but other than that, LET'S GO!!
If we're hoping for a #4, that would make us the lowest seeded 4 (~#16) and definitely put us in the bracket with the #1 overall seed.
I don't think that's a guarantee. We are currently ranked higher than 16th now. I know that's not a 1:1 comparison, but we can still be a 4 and not be in S. Carolina's region
agreed, we are #13 AP which would put us as the top rated 4
That's basically what I was saying. If we hoping to sneak in as a 4, we'll draw #1. If we are boarder line 3-4, we should be in the #2-3 region.
The top rate 4 won't be in SC's region. The bottom rated 4 would be.
I dont expect any kitley news beyond "daily rehab" until she either is in uniform or isnt for game 1
Well....
nobody is excited to be in SCs region
ND the 2 with SC
Can they get knocked off first before we face them?
the albany regions are stacking all the teams I dont want to play... but thats probably east coast bias and lack of ever watching b12 or pac12
Is VT really gonna be the only team without a camera?
Looks like it
Edit: They didn't show our reaction:
Initially I heard no camera and thought oh we big time i guess.... but we are the oooonly ones
No there's been a few others
EDIT: nevermind
#4 in Portland vs Marshall
4 Seed in USCw bracket - play marshall in round 1
Baylor, Ohio State, USC, and UCONN's Bracket
Feel like Marshall is a bad matchup for us
Cannot ask for much more. Lots of questions. Love the team. Cassell will be rocking for them.
Let's go!
Do we know date/time yet??
First Four: March 20-21
First round: March 22-23
Second round: March 24-25
Sweet 16: March 29-30
Elite Eight: March 31-April 1
Final Four: Friday, April 5
Would expect Hokies will be on 22nd since play in game is in their host site.
Friday evening game you say 🤔
We got home games FAM!
LET'S GO!!!
Curious if the play in game is also in Blacksburg?
Bracket wise it's probably the best we could have hoped for. Marshall shoots a ton of perimeter shots and plays press defense all the time but feel like Georgia can handle that. Baylor is a very balanced scoring team. Four in double figures with fifth at 9.6ppg. No out and out star.
Welp at least we get a home game! We are due to start hitting our 3s again, lord knows we need it.
Man I would love to see the sour puss look on LSU coaches face if they went out in the round of 32
All will depend on the refs they get. Whistles it's Iowa all day
Swallowed whistles LSU wins running away
So repeat of national championship from last year?
Tickets will be available for purchase beginning on Monday, March 18, and will be available per session or for all sessions at once. All session adult tickets will be $50, and all session youth tickets will be $20. Individual session tickets will be $25 for adults and $10 for youth (under 18). All seating (excluding the student section) will be reserved. Play-in game tickets between Vanderbilt and Columbia will be available for purchase on Monday. All session passes for the first two rounds do not include admission to the play-in game.
Figures I have a business meeting at 11 am. Hope their are still tickets available when I get done.
Am I missing something? Shouldn't this be expected?
Even if it's an ACL, Liz should be reported as day-to-day so teams waste time preparing for her. Announce surgery the day after the season ends.
And if she really is day-to-day, then it's accurate, so🤷🏻♂️
I have no problem with it.
This clip leaves me a little more encouraged about her chances? But maybe that's just wishcasting.
Great to see Coach putting player health/future first.
I popped my knee real good last Summer and it was feared at the time that it was a *CL injury. Fortunately it wasn't a stability issue at it just took some time (like, 6 weeks) for the the cartilage to recoup, and that was with a cocktail of OTC stuff. If Kitley's injury is similar (ie, not any kind of tear), and she's been under the supervision of a competent medical staff, then I'm a bit more confident that she'll be a game time decision very soon.
This is correct, no matter what.
If she was day to day why would they be this vague? She has to be done, otherwise they'd give a timetable. If she somehow comes back it will be one of the greatest fake outs of all time don't get me wrong, it would be awesome. But given their reactions I don't see any way it could be anything other than an ACL
I agree, I think she's done and this is just strategy. If there was actually a chance she'd be coming back there's no reason to be so vague about it.
We can rebuild her. We have the technology. Just waiting on the bionic knee from the ESM department...
Or not.
By being vague, Marshall and Baylor have to be under the assumption that either scenario is possible, thus they have to practice for both and are, therefore, unable to focus 100% on either scenario.
My mild (wishcasting probs) take is this - remember when Grant Noel played the entire 2001 (?) season after tearing his ACL? If Kitley is truly dead set on grad school over playing pro ball, I wonder if they have taken time to 1) see if she can play at all without further damaging her knee and 2) if she is capable on playing on the knee at all if that is the case.
This scenerio still probably makes her a bench player at best for the tournament and limits her minutes, but I feel like this isn't entirely impossible (even if the chance of this being the case is like 1%).
For some reason I thought Kitley was out of eligibility after this year. It's Amoore that can come back. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Sorry, I was referring to her playing pro ball, not playing at Tech another year. And I mean playing the NCAAs on a torn ACL
Lots of Liz in the casselguard hype video:
Cassel guard hype video
Amazing edit!
Top comment is from Kitley
Remember that time in the Sun bowl where Logan Thomas was in the huddle in the second half after being injured earlier in the game and we all got excited he was going to play? That's how I'm feeling right now.
He was only in the huddle cuz he thought he was Batman and the staff couldn't catch him after the cheap shot he took in the first half.
nah, that was Beamer's attempt at gamesmanship.
Nope.
Neither does LT3
Remember that time at band camp...............
Adjust your brackets, Kitley's ruled out for the season.
Confirmed natty now that they're all playing for Liz?
I wish I was as hopeful as you.
I just don't have time to be bummed out about it today. Self delusion is powerful.
I had winning first two games and out in the sweet 16. Going to leave it. I think the two weeks has been enough for them to adjust.
