Let's go!!!

Charles Barkley is a national treasure, and I won't hear otherwise.
Thanks! Joined
I'm in! Thanks!
Thanks for setting this up!
my bracket is already busted
Nevada with an alltime choke... up 17 with 7 min left
Cost me a pick.
Watching the vaunted SEC completely crap the bed today has been quite satisfying.
Dear Mr. Sankey,
No one wants 96 teams so your 11th place team can lose meekly in the first round. Why dont you stick to what you are good at...ruining college football??
Not that I want Kentucky to win - but around the 30 second mark, did they get screwed out of like 5 or 6 seconds?
UK made three and the clock kept running
Edit: never mind. All was by the books. See my comment below for more detail
I might be crazy but I thought the clock started running around at 1:01 before Oakland inbounded the ball.
Edit: confirmed at least on TV the clock never stopped after Kentucky hit a three to make 75-74
After the others news from Kentucky...fuck'em and the $EC
100% watching them step on their dicks was fantastic.
I went back and rewatched the made basket was just over a minute left in the game. In college clock stops after made baskets in the last minute - but I guess it's only if the basket is made within the last minute, cause that clock definitely ran down into the 50s
Here's a run down of this exact scenario, sounds like it was all on the up and up

Three SEC games, three upsets! My brackets doing well if you only count those games.
Is the group size capped at 32? Went to join but no luck
probably locked once games started
I thought as long as your bracket was complete, you could join groups whenever...not a big deal, I'll just report in how much better my bracket is doing than all yalls and you won't be able to fact check me 🤣
Hope every mountain west team also loses. Seeing nc state whoop ass was nice because you know, acc is just not that good and every other conf is so much better at basketball
I have NC State going at least a couple rounds. They got hot!
How's the Mountain. West aka best conference ever deserving all the bids holding up!?
2-4 right? Only Utah St left to play and SDSU moved on.
Yah as of now only 1 team advancing and 1 team left to play. Good thing they got six teams in
..and the SEC massacre continues.
Couldn't happen to a more pompous, overrated conference.
Fuck the SEC, fuck Greg Sankey, and fuck ESPN for shoving them down everyone's throat.
SEC won 3 lost 5....3 teams advancing out of 64
Mountain west won 3 lost 4....2 team advancing out of 64 so far
acc won 4 lost1....4 teams advancing out of 64
Big East who was also shafted on selection Sunday: won 3 lost 0....3 teams advancing out of 64
Big ten won 4 lost 2... 4 teams advancing
Big 12 won 5 lost 3... 5 teams advancing
ACC was 4-0 in the actual tournament. Thr play in game is that, play your way in, so thus not in tournament.
This is true, I included them as a way to show how many attempts each league actually got based on the amount of teams they got in, even if in a play in spot
If you have to be selected, i think it still counts
Well tell that to TNT last night with their stats
I feel like if you have to play and win to "get in" and you lose, you aren't in.
Tournament bracket has 64 lines, and their name wasn't on one of them.
Between the NIT and NCAA tourney, ACC was 7-1 in the opening rounds correct?
With UVA being the only loss lmao 😂
I had Auburn winning, but called the rest right. They bad
Only one I give an exception to is Florida after losing Handlogten to a broken leg. He wasn't a starter but gave their other bigs quality rest which you could see them struggling with today.
Wasn't tracking but Auburn's third leading scorer was kicked out of the game less than five minutes in for a Flagrant 2 foul.
Buzz has this A&M team looking good. Crash the offensive boards and are great in transition.
Super fun game to watch.
Duke didn't look good so will be an interesting 2nd round.
EDIT: ignore this
I don't like JMU, but I picked them to win. Another L for the B1G
Well we now know how they have made such massive improvements. Students paying $10K in athletic fees to get a degree. ODU #2 on the list and UVA the only P5 school on the list so now you know how they spend so much on non-revenue sports.
$53M a year coming from student fees.
This isn't a new thing with JMU. It's been really bad the last 12 or so years. But in the end, JMU is becoming increasingly difficult to get into (I'm not suggesting its really difficult, only that it's getting more competitive) so apparently it doesn't matter to prospective students.
Well the school is getting a new Athletic Director and School President so guess we will see if they leave it status quo or make changes
They won't. I know some of the folks doing the hiring over there. it's going to be business as usual per the "vision" of the school.
For point of reference- from what I can tell(looking at VT website)- VT TOTAL "fees" is only $2800+/year (of which athletic fee is about $420)
A preview of NCAA tourney numbers updates (through round of 64):
- Data started at 2016
The ACC and Pac 12 had good end of the week al though the Pac12 which has average seed difference was driven from some massive upsets years ago took a hit (you really can't control that overall).
The big 10 caused some minor upsets and luckily were upset in a few close seeded games to bring those Purdue upsets down making their average seed difference in games upset almost 0.3 seeds.
The SEC was upset by higher seeds than normal and added 2% to their upset rate moving from the highest last year of 51% to this year as 53%
Can you elaborate on the higher better and lower better columns? I'm not the sharpest and having trouble understanding what each is inferring
Edit: wait: nvm I got it. You're saying that "higher number is better and lower number is better" in each column. Got it
This was just a copy from my spreadsheet sheet with not a lot beautification so I have them to remind myself. I haven't looked at the spread sheet for 11 months so I need reminders.
I just came here to mock the SEC for their shit performance in the tournament, after being massively overrated all season. But I see you guys have it under control, so I'll just take a nap instead.
Anyone hear about Idaho's band learning Yale's songs, playing them during their game vs Auburn, and wearing their shirts?
Nothing unites people like rooting against the SEC
I did. For some reason, even with their multi-billion dollar endowment, they couldn't afford to send their band to Spokane, so Idaho's band made the drive over instead. Still a good story, well done Idaho.

Whoops wrong thread
ACC and Big East are a combined 14-1 in the tournament so far. Mountain West and SEC are 9-11.
