Looking at Rivals, he has offers from Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin

From lesser schools there was also ODU, Coastal Carolina and Virginia

His Top 5 was Clemson, Georgia, Penn State, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech.

Pry and Marve landed him in Blacksburg. Huge recruiting win for the program.

From lesser schools there was also. . . Virginia

But according to SwimSwam, top P2 target UVA. lolz

Hell yeah Pry continues to crush it.

As I understand things, this one was a huge want.

Welcome aboard.

He's a 247 Composite 0.9028

He's projecting to be really damn good. And if there is a position where it would be key to have anchored by some really good players with Pry and Marve it's LB.

HOKIES!!!

I seldom speak to loluva grads, but when I do, I tell them I want large fries.

Hell fucking yes! I hope hes a thumper in the middle

I hate rude behavior in a man. Won't tolerate it.

one click shows Wagoneer's been around TKP for 7 years. Sheesh. Everyone take a nap, have a snickers or something.

It's about goddamn time. Let's go clatterbaugh the rest of the league (whatever league it is)

Outside it's night time, but inside it's LeDay

Let's organize a TKP NIL pool to pay him $100 for him to scream, "YOU JUST GOT CLATTERBAUGH'd!" every time he makes a bit hit.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me.

I'll throw in

He will be a star, Mike

YES !!

Hell yeah! Feels like a piece Pry has been looking for. Hopefully him and Gabe lock down the interior for the next few years.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

And what would appear to be work boots?

Though, they really do complete the ensemble...

I was told long ago, never trust a man who lifts in jeans. Got my eye on you Clatterbaugh.

I don't have much heavy weight training experience, but that looks potentially injurious. Anyone knowledgeable about his technique? It's obviously successful.

...with spirits true and faithful...

I cringed a lot. You're going to have some back rounding in a heavy power clean but doing it in cowboy boots and having that much back rounding is how you end up with a back like mine. Luckily he's young and his body is flexible. He's much stronger than I ever was and he'll get some good training and pointers in VTs weight room when he gets there.

Yeah man those boots lol. He'd be better off in socks

"That kid you're talking to right there, I think he played his nuts off! And you can quote me on that shit!" -Bud Foster

Yeah squishy or unstable shoes are like the easiest ways to hurt your back. Boots are plenty firm but they're not exactly stable with a raised heel. Probably would have looked a lot better with just the right or no shoes on.

So this is why I see people lifting in chucks?

Yeah they're flat, stiff, stable and offer some ankle support.

Same. This is clearly a heavy lift and if he's in jeans and boots...did he warm up? Obviously I do not know the answer, he could've dressed jeans n boots "for the 'gram" after a full lifting period...but for me (I'm 38), that back was a little rounded (knowing it'll always be the case in a 1 rep max)...on such a heavy lift *potentially* without a warmup seems risky?

But I wasn't there, so my opinion is pure speculation ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

True true but did your remember to factor in teenage hormonal fury into the equation?

He keeps his back straight, starts with his butt real low which are both proper. Idk a ton about Olympic lifting but nothing about it seems wonky to me.

Agreed. It doesn't seem too wonky for what looks like a one time "max" (in boots and jeans) lift.

Looks clean (pun unintended) to me.

These lifts are by their nature extremely injurious if done with bad form and bad base strength. You need balance, good core, and lots of practice. In high school, we trained with wooden sticks for months before we were allowed to use weights.

Clatterbaugh? Boy that is a valley name.
