Pry-ssr Spring Ball 2024

If you missed the first Spring Ball press conference of 2024 you can find TKP discussion here. I will add the rest of the Spring practice breakdowns to this thread and create a separate thread for pre/post Spring Game press conferences. Without further ado here are my takeaways:

  • Today was practice number 6. Lots of developmental guys stepping up, but still need to work on the fundamentals aka 100-level stuff.
  • Pry mentions new wrinkles 👀 are being added, but that shouldn't affect the fundamental stuff. He also mentions that knowing the roster better has helped the overall process this Spring.
  • Drones is constantly looking for ways to improve. A focus for him has been ball placement in tighter coverages.
  • Wyatt Teller was at practice today with recent visits from Eric Gallo, David Clowney, Cam Phillips*, and Jake Grove.
  • Spoke highly of Mines and noted that 3-4 coaches turned down offers to stay at Tech. Looking forward to offering Mines the opportunity to grow in other areas and be more involved in head coaching duties.
  • Freshman standouts include Reddish, Wiggins, and Mason. Noted that Mason sustained a minor injury recently.
  • Givens and Law standing out more regularly on offense than on defense.
  • Nyke Johnson planning to be part of the team as a student assistant.

*Currently in hiring process to become part of the staff in an unidentified role.

We appreciate it!

FOOTBALL! YAY!

Love having alum back, especially Wyatt. Seemingly, Fu burned that bridge so it's good to have an All Pro talent on campus.

Fire Whit.

So it appears the ship is not sinking as rapidly as some would make it appear

appears the ship is not sinking as rapidly

No. Just running into bridges.

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

Glad to hear we are getting this kind of Swag back around the team.

Thank You.

Some of the non-football stuff is starting to really sting.
