This week softball is at Duke Thursday at 6pm on ACCN, Friday at 6pm on ACCN, and Saturday at 1pm on ACCN.

Baseball is playing Marshall now, up 4-1 in the 7th and then is at home against Pitt Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 4pm each day on ACCN.

Hokies had fallen behind 5-4 going to the 7th. Managed to tie it up but unfortunately allowed Duke to score in bottom seventh. Hokies lose 6-5
Apparently a fight broke out after the baseball game. From other comments, adult beverages played a role.
I was at a Hokie game against UVA and some scuffling broke out on the 3rd base side hill where we always sat so we could drink some beer while watching the game. Things got settled fairly quickly, but from that game forward, there were ABC coppers checking coolers and patrolling the grassy hill and that was the end of several years watching games with a cold beer or two. Many, many years ago, but man, a sunny spring day, baseball and Budweiser...
Other than that little scuffle, no punches thrown and no idea whether it involved alcohol or not, it was never an issue. I lived nearby so we used to go to several games every season.
My two highlights were pretty cool. I saw Dell Curry pitch a game, I believe it was against UVA but don't really remember. Just remember that he was a fantastic pitcher and won the game.
And further back, before we had the new ball field, I was at a game where all the loluva coaches, one at a time starting with HC Dennis Womack, were ejected for arguing with the ump, and then, the whole team was tossed and we won by forfeit. That was a lot of fun.

Hey, I'm old. All those crafty suds weren't invented by then. Don't dis the King just because his time has past. I don't even drink it anymore, but hand me a cold one and I won't be mad about it. I mean, some people actually try to pretend that PBR is actually drinkable.

To be fair, i just don't really like beer unless it's Icehouse, Yuengling or Dos Equis.

Not a good weekend against what appears to be a really good Duke team.
Yeah pitching has been a huge difference. I can't recall another team they have faced that's pitchers can put pitches in spots and the movement has been impressive. Yesterday their pitcher late in the game had what appeared to be a curve ball. Had never seen a ball turn over like that.
Would like to see that illegal hit get called though, her foot was clearly outside the box.
