we used to go up to boston for st patty's weekend for a few years in a row there. dropkick murphy's would always play all three nights at the avalon (they may still.) anyways i was at one of those shows waiting in line for a drink or a tshirt and someone taps me on the shoulder and asked, "hey man, you a hokie?" i was wearing a vt hat and was like "yeah man, yall?" they told me they had just gotten to town from blacksburg and came straight to the club, but still missed the show. that's all i got.

I was in Savannah this weekend and had on my green VT shirt. Must've had at least 20 ppl come up and start talking to me that went to VT or were Hokie fans. It was awesome.

To be honest I'm sure that they did, but I can't really remember looking to check it out while we were there.

They always dye the river and the fountains green. That's at least one thing they didn't change when they put the clamp down on the actual party. That place used to be like Mardi Gras with Four leaf clovers. Something like 350,000 people used to come to Savannah just for the party. It was great my first two years stationed there in the Army. Then they changed a ton of the rules and it really reduced the party. Still a great town to visit for almost any occasion, St Patty's included.
