Hokies had multiple All Americans.
Carles Coll Marti took 3rd in the 200 Breaststroke. Marti was also an All American in the 100 Breaststroke finishing 5th. AJ Pouch was also an Honorable All American in the 100 Breaststroke as well.
400 Medley broke the school record and finished 7th for All American status.
Yousef Ramadan was an All American in the 100 Fly finishing 4th.
200 Freestyle Relay team earned All American finishing 7th and broke the school record.

ACC (and future) had 11 teams finish in the Top 26.
NC State finished in 5th.

And yes, we're not competing, it's a Texas, Auburn, Stanford and uva thing. We're really far from a team championship
Texas and Stanford finished 7th and 8th. 17 points and 5 points ahead of Hokies. Virginia finished 92 points behind the Hokies in 17th. If the Hokies had an even decent Dive team on men's side it might have been different. Texas got 26 points from diving and Stanford got 31. Hokies were one of three schools in the top 10 with zero points from Diving.
Indiana for Diving is like Penn State for wrestling. The finished with 121 points. 2nd best team in Diving had 55 in Ohio State. Tennessee in 3rd only had 32 points.
Hokies were 8th in individual swimming and 7th in Relay swims.
Arizona State won the overall by 79 points but also had zero dive points. They had almost as many points as a team as Texas, Stanford and the Hokies put together.
I'm referring to both men's and women's. uva has won women's 3 years in a row and Auburn, Texas and Stanford are also major players
4 in a row actually for UVA. Our women's side of the pool is not close to on par with the men's.
