That's an average of 100,000 per position. I don't know what the ten positions are. But I expect there will be a few $50,000 clerk types for record keeping, stats, etc.; so there should be reasonable money for assistant coaches.

To keep it in perspective most Assistant Head coaches are getting $250-330k. So that leaves about $750K-$670K for potentially 4 more coaches and 5 more staff. Won't go as far as I would like but iiwii to support football.

Kenny had:
2 assistant coaches
1 assistant athletic director, S&C (is also a coach of WBB)
1 Sr Director of sports medicine (who is shared with tennis and still listed on hokiesports today)
1 Chief of staff
1 video coordinator
1 director of player personnel
1 coordinator of student engagement
1 operations assistant

Rumor online was 5M for staff + NIL... unclear how much of that is made up from NIL

Maybe there an implied promise to increase the amount if P2 happens and VT has money to pass around to all the sports.
NC state executive director of operations was only making 79k last season. So there is a wide range there we can make work I think.
Also blacksburg isn't the most expensive place to live so $75k goes a long way there, our it did when I was there.
It still does if you are willing to live in Cburg, County, Fairlawn, Dublin, etc.
Even if you live in "blacksburg" but it's montgomery county and not the town
I'm guessing base pay is guaranteed and the rest is not. Makes it easy to compute the buyout, if it ever gets to that point.

I think we actually had 3 full time assistants this past season?
The one guy had 3 roles and was a wbb coach, but also s&c and also assistant director
