Good weekend for Hokie athletics

Tech had a really good weekend in sports!

The Baseball team (9-8-1; 3-3 ACC) swept the series with Pitt (7-10; 1-5 ACC). They won 11-5 on Friday, and took the doubleheader on Saturday 11-10 and 11-7.

The Softball team (13-12; 4-4 ACC) took the series with #22 Notre Dame (19-7; 3-3 ACC) 2-1. They took the doubleheader on Saturday with a 5-4 and a 3-2 win. The fell to the Irish on Sunday with a 9-5 loss.

The Golf, Lacrosse, and Indoor Track teams also had a great weekend. The Golf team picked up their second team win of the season at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular in Florida. Tech golfer Trevor Cone had a big day and picked up medalist honors. The Lacrosse team (4-4) had a come from behind victory over William & Mary (1-4) 11-10. Also, the Indoor Track team competed well at the Indoor National Championship. All seven Hokies that competed earned All-American honors.
