Lady Bombers went 3-0 with three run rule victories over Boston College outscoring the Eagles 34-6 yet somehow dropped from 16th to 18th while teams above them lost multiple games and dropped similar spots or actually moved up. No surprise here, the SEC bias is in full effect. Nine of the eleven teams ahead of them between 7th and 17th in the rankings had losses last week. It's also not like BC was a bad team, they came into the weekend with the Hokies with 26 wins.
Tonight the Ladies are at UVA 6pm on ACCNX

Cam Fagan was recognized as the ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season. Fagan hit .667 and tallied six hits and seven RBIs against Boston College. She produced at least two RBIs in every game of the series, including home runs in games one and two. In the series finale, Fagan hit a two RBI single to bring Tech from behind in the fifth inning.

Wife did a spring cleaning on our TV stuff and decided we were spending too much. Sooo, we dropped the package that included accn and x. Right before the spring game. Been nice having Rob to keep us up to date and with in game comments on the small ball games. I need to win the lottery, or get a divor...nahhh.

Apparently Smithfield has a bacon sponsorship at UVA softball where three students wear the bacon slice and then sprint foul pole to foul pole and back. It was highly amusing.

Another fail at executing small ball. No outs with runners on 1st and 2nd and batter aunts it straight at the pitcher allowing runner to be out at 3rd.
Hokies get the benefit of a couple gaffes by Duke to get the run across in the 11th to win 2-1

Today is Senior Day for Hokies softball. Hokies will be honoring Cam Fagan, Emma Ritter, Addy Greene, Maija Louko and Molly Jacobson today at noon.
Ladies are up 8-2 in top of 4th.
Chatfield hit her 19th homer to tie the Hokies season record. Hokies become the 2nd team in D1 to hit 100 homeruns as a team, trailing only Miami(OH)

Wife sat in chair and watched game while I was away coaching football today,
Hokies baseball tied 9-9 in the 7th. Bullpen imploded to allow Duke to score 5 in top of the 7th.
Bullpen just can't deliver. Tied at 10 in top of the 9th and Hokies allow second batter to crush a solo homer. 11-10 now
And followed that up three batters later allowing a 2 run shot. 13-10 now. This bullpen is hard to watch.
13-10 loss. Just unbelievable how bad the bullpen has been the last three series.
