It was inevitable with ESPN going all in on promoting gambling.

At this point, anything college football does to more closely resemble the NFL is a good thing.

I could never have imagined saying that 5 years ago, but as an institution college football has become a total dumpster fire. It's easily in the worst shape among the 5 profitable/professional team sports (NCAA Football, NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL). As this point, I'll gladly take anything that regulates and reduces increases transparency in college football.

Give me agents, contracts, general managers, salary caps, revenue sharing, even injury reports - I'll take it all.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me.

Reduces transparency?

In all seriousness, I'm right there with you. Regulate this shit because it's out of control and is only going to have the sport eat itself if left to run amok. It's sad that the video game is likely going to be more enjoyable than the sport itself in a couple years if things are not reigned under control.

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

I never thought I'd say this but I'd give up the video game for some level of normalcy back in the sport.

Reduces transparency?

Oops. Apparently 11 am on a Sunday is too early for my brain to be working right.

Lol, read right over it

I am pretty sure all of college athletics is going to crash and burn in under 5 years right now.

1. You are 100% correct and I agree wholeheartedly. 2. Mysteriously when we go full on pro sports and have agents, salary caps, hold outs, straight salaries from the universities, no academic requirements- Bama, GA, OSU, FSU, ND, Penn State, Michigan will miraculously be in the Top 15 in that model too. It's weird.
