The Hokies do have one thing going for them in the recruitment of the consensus #1 CB in the nation. 2014 Hokies WR commit Isaiah Ford also attended Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida. This helps out a lot, especially when that former teammate was also highly regarded. Tech will need all the help they can get if they want to pull off the impossible.
While it is very early in the process, I hope that Kendall Fuller is his host on the official visit. Toliver has unparalleled speed and athleticism, which would make our secondary in 2015/2016 potentially the nation's best.

Potentially? I think you mean would be*
What is this football you speak of? Didn't you see that we had become a basketball fan base? Where have you been?
Seriously though, that is good news and would be a quarterbacks nightmare of a secondary.
I say we bring back Vincent and Kyle, to help Kendall sell him on DBU. He could become a Fuller by association.
Isaiah Ford is keeping us in this one along with Victor Alexander
Sounds like we need to make sure that we carry out the promises we made to Isaiah Ford so that he can relay that to these guys who will have high expectations upon arrival. This will get interesting to see if Isaiah can become another CJ Reavis or JC Coleman and become a huge, huge advocate for VT.
I hate that title of the article. Fuck you, this the DBU. Every DB in the country seriously considered VT if we offer.
Perhaps the author could look at our guys from our secondary that currently play in the pros.... If the author is referring to our overall program not being as elite as the others from a money/revenue standpoint, I'll give him that - but to say that our secondary and our defense is not elite? That's ludicrous!
It actually says "VT Football Recruiting: Kevin Toliver II...Are The Hokies Out Of His League?"
Not "Is Tolliver Out of the Hokies League?"
The way I read it, the question is: Are the Hokies too good for Tolliver??
How realistic is it for Kendall to stay 4 years?
My hope is wanting to play in the Battle @ Bristol keeps him and Facyson around.
I really think that game could be HUGE for keeping recruits after the 2015 season. It's a once in a lifetime event that I think will definitely keep players who aren't going to be guaranteed first rounders.
Bigger than going in the 1st round in the NFL and making a couple million a year?
Which is why I specifically excluded the first rounders.... Turning that down is stupid. Once you start getting into underclassmen that are outside of that is where the waters get murky and an extra year could help more. Throw in this type of game and you might have a late second rounder stick around to improve stock when he normally wouldn't.
Yea, I see. If Fuller stays healthy, I think he's a first rounder in 2016. I think Facyson will be a 1/2 round tweener. Other than that, I don't think anybody else will have the NFL knocking at their door.
Kyle stuck around when he could have left early, so hopefully he might. Realistically, it would be tough to ignore the NFL if that is his goal.
I think that players with family already in the NFL might be a little more likely to stay for an extra year. Oftentimes players whose family need financial support go pro early, possibly to their detriment (see Evans, Darren). I can easily see the inverse being true for players who are the sons or siblings of NFL players.
That would make a huge statement landing him to augment our secondary.
It would enhance our definition of the Origin of Boom and create/enhance the nickname VT Island.
Kendall Fuller, Brandon Facyson, Holland Fisher, Kevin Toliver would make excellent weapons for the Battle of Bristol .
