Cattoor will be teaming up with DJ Burns from NC State on the Cleveland Cavaliers Summer League team.
First three games dates

Will be interesting to see how he does.

would be cool to see him get some traction
This is not a total surprise to me. He has the skillset to play a role for a team in the NBA, just a little undersized, like most great college players.
He's a great fit there, hope he can stick!
Keve Aluma is doing really well on the 76ers Summer League team. He got an invite after having a strong season in the Japanese and Korean leagues.
In three games so far he has put up double digits in all three games. He has totaled 46 points on 20 of 24 shooting. He also grabbed 22 rebounds.
Cattoor has been sparsely used so far so hasn't had much opportunity.
Sixers are likely going to be very cash strapped this year outside of their top 6 or 7. Aluma might have a very good chance of making the team if he keeps playing like he has been.
Let's hope he can even just approach the greatness of NBA Summer League legend Bronny James.
Pretty sure there is sarcasm in there, but I honestly don't care enough about Bronny to look it up. All I know is the Lakers wasted a draft pick this year.
Not just wasted a draft pick but signed him to a ridiculous contract for a second round pick (4 years, $7.9M).
To give context to how ridiculous that contract is.

There were also his agents shenanigans (Ala Eli Manning) telling all the other teams that Bronny would go play in Australia if they drafted him.
Yep. This is simply LeBron bullying the Lakers to set up Bronny for life. His scum team lead by college dropout Maverick Carter bullied Jeannie Buss into giving a non NBA player 8 million guaranteed. It wasn't enough for LeBron to support Bronny in another career with his billion dollar wealth, nah they needed to fleece the Lakers so Bronny could get his undeserved bag. Marcus Jordan was a better prospect than Bronny but you notice Jordan/Falk didn't bully the bulls into drafting him. Let's call this what it is please
I was just going to say that I don't remember Marcus Jordan getting this much hype, and wasn't he a regular player at USF?
Bronny getting that much money is ridiculous. But anything to satisfy that ego of Lebron, huh?
Not to mention the point that nobody wants to talk about. In the modern NBA, "prospects" are much more like baseball than the NFL. So if the son of arguably the greatest NBA player of all time was a legit NBA prospect, he would go #1 overall in the draft without question. Without one doubt. And he goes 55th - and only gets drafted because it's his dads team. Nobody talks about this point. Tells you he is not an NBA prospect.
Everybody talked about that point?
Nope. Not that I heard. I did not hear one reputable person say "if this kid was good, with his dad's pedigree he would have gone #1". Nobody brought up the genes, pedigree topic. Why? He's not an NBA prospect. If he were, there would have been outraged if he slipped to 3rd overall. Keep in mind, the top 2 picks in this years draft only Fran Frascilla had heard of. Anyone else is lying if they told you they knew who they were.
im confused -- nobody talked about how Bronny James only got drafted because of his dad? help me out
edit: nvm i get your point, the other side of it being the cardiac arrest he had this year
Had watched both of the top two picks but only because both played against Wemby last year and that kid was worth finding streaming options for his games in France.
Bronny shouldn't have been drafted. However, he's making the money guaranteed under the CBA. Yes LeBron made it happen. Yes, there are others more skilled. But the money is just what that pick gets paid.
Edit: I was wrong. Second round picks are not guaranteed. I'll leave it up to shame myself and add context to the comments below.
I'm pretty sure that's not right. From what I've read, late-2nd round picks do NOT typically get $8 million guaranteed contracts. In fact it's not uncommon that they don't ever play a single game in the NBA.
You're right!
No worries! I doubt there are many people who understand the rules for NBA rookie salaries. The only reason I knew it was unusual was because I read an article about it right after Bronny signed.
The Lakers gave Bronny the maximum salary allowed by the NBA for a second round pick. Second round picks are not guaranteed a contract at all and most don't get contracts unless they prove in Summer League they warrant it. Majority end up on two way contracts and only earn NBA money while up on the roster.
Those that do get NBA deals in second round typically are around $500K a year.
Yup. I was wrong!
Smallest violin ever for a pro sports team owner getting "bullied" and "fleeced"
The funny part is I understand the other teams said go right ahead, we weren't going to waste a pick on him anyway. But the agent can say he spread that around to make Lebron happy.
Tom Byrne- who I typically like a lot- on Mad Dog radio was doing LIVE cut in's on his show covering Bronny in a fucking (practice) Summer League game. He doesn't do possession cut ins for fucking LEBRON JAMES in the playoffs. I get that every radio talk show host hates MLB, but this bum/fringe D1 college player is getting literally super bowl type coverage right now.
Nice article on Aluma

Cattoor finally got some run against Golden State and compiled 12 points, three boards, two assists and two steals.
First game they really had him out there but so far he is averaging 7.3 pts, 2.3 reb, 2 asst, 1 steal across four games.
I think he is getting those stats in about 10 minutes per game. So not bad.
Cattoor also got hitched, a lot of former Hokies. Sad to see so many transfers in one pic too.
Happy for them on the big day. Though I think it is funny that Kitley is the second or third tallest person there.
Unfortunately for Aluma, the 76ers just used their last two way contract to sign Jeff Dowtin Jr. A G League spot is still possible but likely less profitable than playing in Japan or Korea. If he is going to catch on at the NBA level it will have to be with someone else.
Morey should sign Aluma to a roster spot.
