So, out best position group is WR. Our worst position group is the OL (or LB). So, on offense we decide to lean on the OL and call predicable run plays instead of utilizing our WR room. makes sense.
Drones again is not built to drop back and win with his arm. He's a 20-25 attempts max passer right now that needs the scheme (screens/quick hitters and PA shots downfield) to get completions. That's just the reality. Was the same last year down the stretch, the run game being so effective made him better.

Our OL is just bad. They're getting push and sacks (that rushing 3 at the end of the half and getting 3 sacks is unforgivable). Too many times we are looking around for someone when a guy is just running by.

It's apparent to me that this team, aside from the OL being just atrocious, isn't particularly well-coached. Recruiting, fan engagement, everything else is moving in the right direction. But we're going to need a significant uptick in coaching. We've now seen the same preparation and sloppy game management into year 3 of Pry.

We need better coaching or all the recruiting and talent in the world isn't going to matter. But OL is real bad and I don't know how we fix that one frankly.

The coaches failed to prepare the team for this game. Terrible body language outside of a select few players. They didn't show any real life until the second half. Compound that with baffling in-game coaching decisions that were the difference in a close game.
