1. Minnesota sucks. That QB is not P5 level. They are 100% mid at best- no juice on offense at all. 2. Both set of announcers were fawning on Minny's an Colorado's kickers. lol. Colorado's kid barely sent wobblers through the uprights and well Minny's blew a bunny kick. Was not impressed with UNC either- that running back is special and I honestly can't believe he didn't transfer to Michigan or Bama, but at any rate- meh, both teams. I thought UNC's backup was better than Johnson, btw.

I wanted to think that about their defense until I took a look back at Minn's offense last year, plus what they did in the offseason. Minnesota is a very bad offensive team. This could just be my way of never complimenting unc though, who knows?

Stayed up way too late watching NC ACC schools look competent against bad competition (Wake), bad against bad competition (NCstate), or lucky and flawed against same level competition (UNC). Biggest take away? It's week 1.

Not sure if this is the right spot for this, but I don't think anyone in my life really cares. I've hit the first 5 legs of a 7-game parlay. Last two games are Saturday afternoon. I've never even hit a 5-game parlay before, so I know I'll miss one of the last two. Great and dangerous way to start the season.
Shoutout to GT, Nevada, NDSU, UNC, and Coastal for all covering. Just need SDSU (+8.5) and CSU (+35.5) to cover tomorrow. I feel pretty bad about CSU's chances though.

At the end of it he said something along the lines of "we've gotten our programs where they are today (huge eyeroll) so let's have a good night and get out of here in one piece." Um, what? YOU, BK, didn't put LSU where they are, and Lincoln Riley didn't put USC where they are in the college football landscape. Then to say something like let's just get out of here in one piece and enjoy it? Went and put a bet on USC to win outright right then and there.

Guy can't play. Had tons of talent @ Clemson and wasn't good. Went to OSU and was better-ish (still sub-60% passer), yet because he was once a blue chip recruit he keeps getting chances instead of being told to get a degree because his future ain't gonna involve getting paid to throw a football.

IMO there's only 20ish good QBs in any given season (which averages out to 5ish each recruiting class). My stance is that there's a negligible difference between the 25th best QB and the 75th best QB; it's just about scheme fit, coordinator, etc.
DJU is in that 25-75 range. If you look at the 2020 QB recruiting class, - he was initially rated the second highest QB of the class - With the benefit of hindsight, he was probably in the 6th-10th best QB of the class (which is still good enough to be a 4-star).
He doesn't throw the ball great, but he can absolutely be a factor in the run game. Pretty good fit for a run-heavy RPO offense like Oregon State last year. No idea why Norvell was asking him to make throws over the middle of the field against GT - that's just not his skill set.

Surprisingly, he didn't take as many hits as you might imagine. He obviously took some, but also did an excellent job of hiding behind his blockers, sliding, and getting out of bounds when necessary.
My issue is that BC OL is going to destroy us. they may break a record in Lane Stadium when they come to town.

We had opportunities to win our game and failed. As much as I hate our loss at least we didn't have the hype of pre-season number 10 and dropping both games to double digit underdogs.
I'll take a dark horse contender not coming to fruition any day over actually being ranked and getting beat handily two weeks in a row by "lesser" opponents.
