Over the last few months I have noticed the hokiebird taking a much more prominent place in the football program's branding. It is on the podium for press conferences, on shirts and hats, and scattered throughout other media in place of where we would have historically seen the athletic VT logo.
Honestly, I think it looks pretty sharp and bought a couple hats with it.
Is this a coordinated effort to refresh branding or is it a coincidence I am reading into?

If I'm not mistaken, it was Pry that wanted more Hokie Bird/Gobbler on all things VT football. I think he just likes it and the uniqueness of it. His first suit at ACC media days had an inner liner of fighting gobblers.
Good point, thanks for the input. I agree with Pry that it is pretty unique and especially the more modern hokie is pretty sharp.
