In the first four games, this would still be heartbreaking, but we would be 4-1.
I loved the fight in this team, but we saw a complete game tonight. It's on the coaches that we haven't seen that until now.
This game just goes to show that the coaching is still a massive question mark.
With that said, quarterback coaching is not great. Drones consistently throws behind his receivers. Say what you will about Bowen as OC, but we he is not cutting it as QB coach.

The only thing our coaches have taught us is how to lose more efficiently.
It's ridiculous how that game played out. No business having it even that close and we absolutely pissed it away between piss poor play calls and terrible execution on the field.
But that is who Virginia Tech has become. A bunch of well trained losers that have forgotten how to win.
I want a QB coach who has played or coached QBs before, certainly not an OL/TE coach and a veteran with a mid career stop at Bridgewater fucking College.
I want a special teams coach who doesn't have a massive fuckup every week like sending out guys with the same number 2 times in 5 weeks.
I want a playcaller who doesn't throw the on first down when your lead back is averaging 7 yards a carry and you're trying to nurse a lead.
I want a coach who doesn't save his timeouts for the 5th quarter.
Yeah we'd be better off if we played like this all season. We've only lost by 14 points combined all year. But after 1-10 in one score games, and blowing your 3rd double digit point fourth quarter lead in 2 and a third years... I'm ready for something else.
