I was thinking about the Netherlands national team in a related thread from yesterday that you commented upon. The whole country wears orange!
lol I know which comment you're referencing and I almost mentioned them on it, and looked up this video, but decided to just list off US based teams instead.
I used to wear orange a lot. And the number of times that random Dutch people would come up to me and ask me if I was Dutch was pretty common. At least double figures. Maybe I also look Dutch, idk, but definitely was interesting.

Pretty sure I said the last game was pivotal, but this game is as well. With so many players coming back from a 7-6 team but the team looking so unprepared and unfocused the first 4 games, they need to come out focused and playing hard from the start. Anything less than 8 wins this year is a disappointment. I'm including the bowl game, so 7-5 + a bowl win to get to 8-5 is okay. 7-6 is a not very good and less than 7 wins a failure for this staff. They need to be winning games like Vanderbilt, Rutgers, Stanford, BC, UVa >50% of the time. And they are going to need wins vs. BC and UVa to get to 8. I want to be upbeat, but they need to keep playing like last week.
Right there with you. I felt that Stanford was a watershed moment coming off the Miami heartbreak + having to travel several thousand miles to get there. And to Pry's credit, they took care of business in convincing fashion heading into the bye week.
But the reality is that every game from here on out is pivotal. There is little-to-no margin for error remaining relative to pre-season expectations after a rocky 3-3 start.
I am cautiously optimistic about tonight. They have a good team, but if we come out playing our best then I really like our chances.
I have no idea how good BC actually is. They beat up FSU when we thought that was actually hard to do. They have played a bunch of Meh teams, but they lost to LOLUVA.

Yeah, fortunately or unfortunately, I had predicted that VT (and Tennessee) would be her 2 lowest picks of the places we checked out as they are the big and Wake would be where she felt most comfortable as it is the smallest place we have visited. She does not like big places and I've told her that - in general - it is more important to be where you are comfortable than going to a higher rated place. If you are not comfortable and you don't like it, you won't do as well. Not that VT is better than Wake. I just mean I do think you are better off going to a lower rated place you are comfortable and like than a higher rated place you won't like.

High risk, low reward...classic self sabotage.
In our case the play not only failed but it sent a message to the team that it's fun time, everyone can relax. And they did. Very, very fortunate to recapture the momentum.
Bowen has a whole playbook of plays he wants to call but don't work, and he keeps going back to it. Then he has to go back to his working plays pkaybook to actually make our offense function, but it kills a bit of his sole knowing that he can't call his favorite plays

I'll say this, it's apparent this coaching staff doesn't know how to make adjustments well. If we come out with the wrong game plan, it takes until half or later to adjust (Vandy, Rutgers). Or if we do get it right, the other team adjusts at half and we can't figure out what is going on. It just takes too long to make adjustments.

Penalties are a result of poor coaching. Taking a kickoff out of the end zone and getting tackled at the 15 is poor coaching. Carrying the football loose is poor coaching. These are player mistakes that should be drilled into their heads in practice to never do. Not responding to pressure is 100% poor coaching. That Colin Schlee play is a fire able offense poor coaching
You can coach the fuck outta those things and players can still make bonehead mistakes cause that's what kids do.....especially when they are not 5 star players...

Well, they tried it again last night. Last TD before the end of the 1st half. 11 seconds left. The kicker very obviously does a half swing that hits the last row of blockers before getting to the "receivers".
This is on purpose to try and get a turnover by mishandle or otherwise disrupt the return plan.
