ACC debuts new Conference Championship Trophy

They did it to account for the new members. I for one think it looks on par with everything the ACC does. Cheap, Tacky and not a lot of thought put into it.

My elementary school kid could probably 3D print something better.

I think it's fine. The other one wasn't anything special to look at either.

I will not complain about it when we win it.

I'm in agreement with nickm2 here. The old one wasn't anything special and this new one looks, well, about as it should for this league. It's boring. It's not stupid or gaudy, it's not beautiful or flashy. It, just...is.

Onward and upward

Shouldn't they have the officials prominently displayed? I mean it looks like they are the ones who will decide who wins.

I believe they are keeping the football trophy the same, though

Trophies trophy the same.

At least it doesn't look like a vagine like the cfp trophy

Or a plank of wood a la 90s/2000s ncaa basketball trophies

I'm still figuring this out.

I say they should have added another base onto the bottom of the old ACC trophy for all of the new teams. Like the Stanley Cup, but terrible.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

I like how the trophy in the promo had ACC in at least two different fonts. It really represents how half-assed this conference is ran.

Yep on the thin metal plates like they use on participation trophies these days that the glue wears off from in six months

The thin metal plate that just says "ACC" is already separating from the trophy, see 11 secs in the vid...

lol it is

OMG

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Completely underwhelming. It's not even bad enough to make fun of. 100% meh.

Poverty conference should go ahead and pay for a sticker to put "Miami 2024 Champion"

Only took what, 20 years for the manifestation to work?

Do we need a meh thread for this?

As soon as I saw it my mind saw what looks to be a sad possibly "subliminal" attempt in creating a modern contemporary Da U symbol in the middle base of it, which basically confirms Miami will win the 2024 ACCCG and is the face of the conference in perpetuity or until they change the look of yhe trophy down the line.

I'm seeing a different letter. 2024 ACC Champions VT confirmed. You heard it here first.

Quite frankly, now that you put it that way, the trophy itself does kind of look like the old school logo, with the T split....

If you play it, they will win.

Does it already have Miami's name inscribed on it?

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me.

no, FSU!

Technically yes because all members are listed on the trophy.

This is what they went away from for this new dumpster fire

Yeah that looks better. They should have just made it bigger for for more teams as a sign of strength.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Its like they tried to modernize the trophy they were giving out throughout the 90s through when we joined the league (trophy on the far left from our 2004 football title)

No one is better at being underwhelming than the ACC

Better trophy than the Conference Championship trophy
