#Hokies coach Brent Pry is here for his weekly presser. Said Bhayshul Tuten is probable this week. "He's a tough guy."Said Xavier Chaplin is also probable, dealing with a shoulder and got leg-whipped last week. Probably the best injury news VT could have gotten.— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) October 29, 2024
All things considered, this is about the best possible news we could have heard today. Glad to hear both players are fine.

Thank god.
Any chance this is gamemanship by Pry to force cuse to prep for Tuten?
If it were me, I wouldn't bother playing Tuten in this game. Give him rest and make sure he's well rested for Clemson. We should be able to beat Cuse without him. They are awful
No
Tuten was seen walking around campus sans boot today so hopefully that translates to full go
If you can make it from Litton-Reeves to the Upper Quad Flag Pole in less than 10 minutes without the BT, you're cleared.
-Me, if I was Team Doc
I say this having been a BT driver.
If it was class change, you'd definitely get there faster walking.
Thanks Jaylin for mentioning it on ACCN last night apparently caught some flack for that
Interview with Lane. Not the best quality.
To add more context he was the player available to the media today. He said Pry immediately yelled at him for saying that.
Not sure if Pry planned to play out the injury for gamesmanship reasons but when a player goes on TV and says theyre fine you're going to have to play some 5D chess to work with that.
Whether or not Tuten plays will have a huge impact on Saturday's game.
Whether Syracuse knows it or not will have virtually no impact on the game.
^^100% accurate.
The Defensive plan against us is simple. Stack the box, dare Drones to beat you over the top.
D.C.s are betting he's either too inaccurate, we can't protect him long enough, or some combination of those. That has generally been a good bet.
Not having Tuten makes the strategy easier to accomplish but won't change it much for the opponent.
For VT though, no Tuten = gonna be really hard to move the ball with any consistency.
As good as Tuten is and he will be missed if he doesn't play, but I have full confidence in Thomas that he can be the guy
I tend to agree. Thomas has always been a guy that needed regular snaps to get into a rhythm and things started to pop as the game wore on. If he was RB1, I think we'd be okay.
The issue with Thomas as RB1 is we need RB2 to spell him for a bit to keep those legs ready for those 4th quarter runs
It seemed like Thomas was very good but then he faded out of site. Thought he was good and part of me would like to see him get another shot as the #1 back. But Tuten has been so good Thomas has not had a chance. Just wish them both the best.
My worry with Thomas is he moved from #2 to #3 RB very early this season and is only back to #2 because #2 got injured.
Thomas has regressed and been very disappointing. Part and parcel for a Justin Fuente recruited RB though.
I think it's more important that the Oline don't go out to strip clubs with the coaches and get tanked the night before the game.
... uh, did this happen?
Varsity Blues?
Might be a reference to this comment from Mr. French and HT SF above?
pretend this is an up arrow gif.
Just make sure you say hi to the moms, but nothing more.
Yeah our game plan can't really change without him if anything they can just key in more on Drones keeping the ball.
Any injury updates? When's the next press conference? I'm sure we won't know anything definitive until after kickoff but curious if there have been any more rumblings.
official account tweeted practice pics and Tuten was in one them on a carry without any blue jersey or anything. appears he'll be a go
Tuten has apparently been a full participant at practice this week.
Heard nothing worrying about Chaplin, he should be a go as well
Awesome news, thanks to both of you. Time to put the curse of the dome behind us and beat the shit outta 'Cuse like we did last year.
