Edit: he followed up saying apparently he is dealing with a foot injury and there were rumblings he might be limited today.

This right here. IMO, can't ask for a better back up QB scenario than VT's. Schlee has loads of experience and is capable.
Regardless of how this turns out, with Drones' limitations as a passer, the amount we knew he'd run, and how unlikely it was for him to play an entire season, you have to tip your hat to Brent Pry and this staff for going out and getting an experienced backup to give us a chance.
Next man up! This will either be a fun watch or a nightmare.

Drones also may have already been hurt last week which could have also limited the offense. So far I think Schlee has shown the value in having a backup qb with P4 experience to be able to take the reigns if needed

Syracuse made some good adjustments. Get the ball out of McCord's hands super fast to the flats minimizes our rush and if we're in zone we don't have flat zones very often

Kicking the ball is illegal except for Kickoff, punts, field goals, or drop kick field goals. At the time of the punt it is a change of possession. The penalty happened after the punt so it was syracuse's ball. Penalty enforce after the play. Had the receiver muffed the ball and VT recovered, the penalty would have been enforced in favor of VT. Had the facemask happen while rushing the punter and before the kick it would have been VT ball.

We had 2 TOs before the play. Took one at the end of the run. After the runoff we had 1 TO. The clock either stopped on the TO (vs :07 and start on my signal) or we have 2 TOs and could elect to take one and have 0:17 and one TO.
