Hopefully Army puts a wall on Notre Dame playoff discussions. Vegas has the Irish by 2 TDs, hopefully that blows up in their face.
Indiana at Ohio State will be big on clearing up the playoffs.
Hoping SMU further destroys UVAs season, especially after this cringe post. Notice the six finger AI hand.
No surprise...people tend to dress nicely for funerals. https://t.co/mZgGQj7jMYโ Robert Peterson (Hokies IceintheVeins) (@REPETEinDC) November 20, 2024
NC St and GT kick off the ACC week on Thursday night. Battle of the backup QBs unless King Haynes is healthy enough to go.
We have another barn burner with powerhouses Charleston Southern (1-10) at Florida State (1-9)
#14 BYU at #21 Arizona St is another good one this weekend
Will be cheering for Northwestern to keep Michigan from reaching bowl eligibility.

Comments
So if this is the last game of the season for UVA, I guess they are just planning on forfeiting next week.
Wouldn't that be grand with our current injury report.
it's their last home game, which would be true regardless of where we play them but this year it is in Blacksburg
I know but you could quote the post saying it is the last game of the season not last home game.
FAIR POINT
edit: I didn't mean to yell but had CAPS lock on and thought it was funny so I left it
It's an AI image with the girl having 6 fingers and not even having their own stadium in it. So I hardly doubt they put much thought or effort into the idea, let alone proofreading.
NC State and Georgia Tech is ugly football. Teams combined for 254 yards of offense by halftime and those numbers seem generous.
Georgia Tech coaching staff ordered the booth heaters turned off at the half and apparently they share them with the TV crew so TV guys are calling out the coaches on the broadcast.
ACC is allowing Matt Austin, part of the TV crew to listen in on the conversation between the replay center and the official....where the F was that in the Miami game? Review only took about twenty seconds as well.
They just had a targeting review, targeting on the field and seemed clear as day targeting and booth overturned it saying they couldn't confirm he actually led with the crown.
Question, when did not having hard evidence overturn the call on the field?
Oh Miami game...right
Georgia Tech had original starter Haynes King available healthy and yet he has only been in for about 14 plays. The third stringer Philo that we saw has played the majority at QB. Weird situation but their defense is going to win them this game most likely.
Take it all back. Georgia Tech defense in last five minutes has looked like Hokies 3rd Quarter Defense
Wow...1:30 on clock and the GT freshman QB leads them right down the field for a TD. He had two runs in a row for the last 36 yards to score.
GT Defense continues to melt down...17 seconds left they allow a 29 yard completion.
Now NC State calls their last timeout with the clock stopped..rather than try to get a quick ten yard pass they are attempting a 58 yarder to win game
Missed it a half yard wide left
just ban nd until they conference up, simple as. apparently people are doing this in online cfb25 leagues lol
We do some head-scratching stuff from time to time...but...at least we haven't done this
It didn't deter them. They did it again on s two point conversion but that one worked.
So was that a fumble or an interception?
I can't remember what they called it after their review, but I thought it was strange they reviewed it anyway since the outcome was the same.
They ruled it an interception return for a touchdown
Honestly looks like a big gain if the wr doesnt bobble
Does FSU score 21 or more for the first time tomorrow?
Why start now?
I know it was a year ago and the rosters are modestly different, but how exactly the hell did we lose to Purdue?
They scored more points within 60 minutes than we did.
Pry and the rest of the coaching staff have an incredible ability to find new ways of losing every week. Wells was also clearly hurt towards the end of the first half, they kept playing him and took way too long to make the switch to Drones.
Time to watch SMU dismantle the Boohoos before turning on Hokies basketball at 2pm
SMU seems to have a huge contingent at UVA. Not Hokies number but still a pretty impressive turnout to see their Mustangs go right down to score on first drive. SMU slot receiver is track fast.
Cavman riding in was actually Cavwoman.
Boohoos may have just gotten screwed out of a safety on a punt. SMU guy caught it at 2 and retreated into endzone and didn't look like he got out but ACC refs put it at the 1 ...shock s/
They moved them all the way out to the three....comical
No surprise...upper deck at Lane North is completely empty on one side.
SMU with a clear edge in the first semi-annual InsufferaBowl.
wait, UVA plays Duke sometimes too. But that was too good of a wordplay to keep to myself
Dogpoo bacteria just got murdered on a 4th and 6 attempt.
UVA converts a 4th down in the red zone only to have the officials throw a flag after the play for 12 men in the huddle. Seemed a bit backwards on the officials but no surprise
...then they miss the field goal as a bonus
If only the UMass vs UGA game could end right now. UMass scores first 7-0
STOP THE COUNT
Indiana vs OSU is good so far. OSU dominating. But after a false start on 3rd &1 that led to a big sack and great field position for OSU, feels like the momentum is shifting.
Let's be honest here. If they look good enough to beat Northwestern they deserve that last spot. Just ask the professional eye testers in the studio.
After the FG miss, SMU drives the field and takes a 14-0 lead over LOLUVA.
Just noticed the logo at midfield appears to have Maroon on the UVA crossed sabres while the Boohoos punted again.
SMUs QB is what we had hoped Drones would be this year. Pinpoint slinging it running out of pocket.
That was not targeting on Wahoo #3. Did not launch, receiver took three steps with ball, facemask contacted the helmet
And the booth got it right for once
Big development for next week against the Boohoos. Both #1/#2 RB for them have left this game with injuries. Top guy is ruled out for this game.
BC smoking UNCheat...
Mack, you rethinking that return??
BC up 34-7 on UNCheat in the fourth quarter.
SMU got screwed out of 2 point conversion. Go ACC refs
Had to make up for that missed safety.
#9 Ole Miss is tied with Florida with less than 10 mins to go.
Florida now up 7 with 7:40 to go. Oie Miss needs a win to stay in the playoffs.
Rutgers up in 4th quarter on Illinois
Jackson Dart completely folded in the last 3 minutes. Wow
Dart with int after int was something to watch. Ole Miss is out
Indiana might be out to with how badly they lost
5 win sec team beats upper tier ranked sec team "omg sec is just god mode that's why"! They should have 50% of playoff spots
Same thing happens in the Acc and it's "hahah see their top teams are frauds losing to the unranked conference opponent"
they've been spinning this narrative for years
I enjoy seeing these posts about Northern schools who can/will host playoff games and the thought of an SEC school having to go play in 30 degrees and possible snow for the first time ever.
SEC teams never leave the South and get to play in a temperate climate all year, they'd fold in an outdoor game sub 40ยฐ.
Go Kansas
It is looking good for them. Kansas and Baylor are 2 teams that really stick out as starting the year off badly but are really in the groove now.
I just want Colorado to ๐ฅ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ
Baby Sanders pitched a hissy fit and pushed the head official but wasn't ejected
Class act, that highest paid college football player is...
Minnesota blocked a punt and just now blocked a PAT and returned it for 2 points. Up 3 on Pedo State
And it was Minnesota beating Pedo State that allowed us to get into the championship game. We were #3 and PSU was #2. No way we would have passed them without the Minnesota loss. Love seeing Penn State lose. Hopefully the score holds.
I realize its 38 degrees in Minneapolis right now, but i'm shocked at how not-full the stadium for the Gophers is.
Warmer than it is here in SWVA.
Surprising call, Franklin calls a fake punt on 4th and 1 from their side of the field, up 4, with under 4 mins to go and they convert it easily.
Kansas beats Colorado and becomes the first FBS team ever to win 3 straight games against ranked opponents while having a losing record.
Things we will never do for $1000. Alex.
I seen an interesting note at the end of the IU v OSU game. Indiana is 1-71 all time against top 5 opponents. They're tied with Tennessee for that record. Felt pretty good that VT wasn't a part of that obscure stat record
Give it time๐คฃ
Weird situation in the BYU vs ASU game. Arizona State was up 5 and tried to run out the clock on the final play of the game. QB threw the ball out of bounds, everyone thinks the game is over, students rushed the field, and the FG posts were lowered down. Final play goes to video review and they added one second back to the clock. So now they are putting the FG posts back up and trying to get the students off the field and back into the stands.
Did I miss where this is National Rush The Field For No Reason Day?
Clemson fans rushed the field after beating The Citadel (yeah, 10 straight, but is it that big a deal?)
Cal fans rushed the field after beating Stanford (in-state rival, sure, but Stanford is also not good)
I think I saw another head scratcher, but I can't remember.
Clemson has a dumb tradition of doing it after every game.
Schiano pulls a Fuente and cost Rutgers the game.
Ashton Jeanty with a 61 yard TD to open scoring for Boise.
Interesting note on Army.
28 of their players are from Texas. Something to be said for going where the talent is for a school that can't offer NIL or "scholarships"
sigh
I wish at least one of these other games TRULY interested me right now.
Can't even get excited for Caps vs Devils with Ovechkin out six + weeks
Oklahoma now up 24-3 on Alabama. What do people think? 50:50 chance Alabama still makes the playoffs? Probably not, but it would not shock me.
Absolutely they will still get in, cause $EC. BOOK IT.
Of course, my Cyclones have choked away their game.
Edit 1: And Iowa State manages to rally for the lead and hold off Utah. Now a 4-way tie at the top spot in the Big12. The whole conference is like Coastal Chaos from the good old days.
Edit 2: Supposedly Arizona State has the tiebreakers if they all win next week and Iowa State would get the other spot.
Baylor staying red hot and winning their 5th straight. At least Frosty is happy. Baylor Bears are his team.
SEC playoff picture may have cleared up last night. Alabama got heel stomped, Texas A&M lost in 4OT, and Ole Miss blew it against Florida. The three locked in I expect are Texas, Tennessee and Georgia. South Carolina is probably just on the outside. Still could end up with a four way tie at the top of the SEC if A&M beats Texas next week. But we all know how they will spin it....
Can't wait for the SEC commissioner to come our and say the SEC should get 6 auto bids.
Oh my goodness, with getting to see VT play for the first time in a month, I completely forgot to mention that, once again, in THE game, it was bulldog, bulldog, bow, wow, wow!
Yale 34-Harvard 29
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KkuhkAyKsM
"The defeat to the Bulldogs (7-3, 4-3 Ivy), in front of a crowd of 27,105, marked a disappointing end for the Crimson's season as hundreds of Yale fans stormed the field at Harvard Stadium to celebrate the Bulldogs' win."
