The Ladies host the Elon Phoenix today at 2PM on the ACCN extra platform. About the only thing I know about Elon is that they share a name with the owner of Tesla, SpaceX, and X(formerly Twitter). The Hokies are 4-1; Elon is 3-1 with a 1 point win over High Point, a close win over Gardner-Webb(8 points) and a close win against Kent State(3 points). Their loss was to Masrhall by 9 points.
The Hokies are 3-0 all time against Elon; their last meeting was in the NIT Tournament on March 1, 2016. The Hokies won 68-59. The Phoenix were picked to finish seventh in the CAA.
The Phoenix have two players averaging double digits. Laila Anderson averages 14 ppg and Preston Raven, who has 2 double-doubles in four games, averages 13.5. Raven averages 10.5 rebounds per game. Preston averages 3.3 fouls per game; other starters, Pass and Adams average 3.8 and 3.3 fouls per game.
Elon averages 12 assists and 16.8 TOs per game; but they are causing 21 TO's per game. They have been outrebounded by 4.5 rebounds per game and outscored by 1.2 points per game. The Phoenix only shoot 38% overall and 26.2% from three; and a relatively poor 62.4% on free throws.
The Hokies will probably not be challenged today. Coach Duffy should get a chance to play everyone today. Since Elon's tallest in their top 8 is 6 foot Iycez ADams, the Hokies should dominate the boards. Hopefully the Ladies will start off a great day for Hokies Sports with a dominating win.

Rose already with 6 rebounds in 1st Quarter. If ladies had hit half their open looks this would already be a 25 point lead
Wenzel missing bunnies again. 1-5 but also missed two more sge was fouled on but should have made the shots.
Wenzel still can't finish in the paint. Its really frustrating because she is getting inside. 1 for 6 in the paint with three missed foul opportunities.

Another game that Ramiya White plays but Hazelton has not
Don't understand that. White looks slow and immobile. Have not seen enough of Hazelton to know for sure; but she looks like she would be more active.
Yeah I don't understand it unless their is an injury they don't want to talk about.
She did spend part of the game riding a stationary bike, so injury may be cause.
And I don't think White can get off the ground.
I think she is losing weight from being in the program already.
