The Ladies host the 6-4 Campbell Camels today at 4PM. Should be a slightly more competitive early season game than the usual. The Camels lost to Miami by 5; but lost to Wake by 17.

The Camels will start 2 seniors, 2 juniors and a freshman. Their tallest player is 6'3" forward Courtney Dahlquist, who plays about 25 min/game. the rest of the team that plays regularly are listed as guards from 5'7" to 6'.

Campbell has been known as a good defensive team, frequently holding opponents under 40 points, while averaging 57.2. Three of the five starters average double digit scoring.

This game caught me by surprise; for some reason I thought it was tomorrow. ESPN gives the Hokies a 98% chance to win today. So, while Campbell may put up a bit of a fight, the Hokies should win this one easily.
GO HOKIES!

Women crushing the Camels at halftime.
39-24
Ekh finally woke up. 15 points in first half. 3 of 5 from outside. MacKenzie Nelson with 9 off the bench.
Ekh had 13 points in the first quarter.
Ekh looking good on offense but we still have a turnover issue with 9 in the first half and honestly not looking as overpowering or athletic as I'd hope compared to Campbell.
Hazelton sighting to start the 4th... Has a baby giraffe thing going on but will hopefully settle in
amazing effort on a rebound tie up by hazelton there
3 fouls in about 3 minutes reminded me of strack against iowa last year
Ramiyah makes it in with 6 min left
What's the deal with her? I was at the game and the crowd gave a pretty hearty cheer when she went in. I was confused.
She is working hard at losing weight and getting better.
Carys baker DOUBLE DOUBLE
Good showing from Mackenzie Nelson despite fouling out at the end
Overall a solid team win today with lots of contributors and good bench engagement to the end.
They won by alot but the fouls and turnovers were pretty ugly. 21 personal fouls and 16 turnovers. Can't do that in ACC play and expect to win. Campbell just couldn't do anything with the ball.
Campbell played an aggressive defense. They need to protect the ball better.
Lot of ACC teams play aggressive defense but they can score.
Games like this help the 3pt Defense stats.
