Cal just smacked UVA by 14 but is 1-3 in ACC play with losses to Stanford. Pitt and Clemson. They also beat USC-W and Air Force but lost to Vanderbilt and Missouri. Other losses were to Cornell and #23 SDSU.

Outside of the tournament run a few years ago I've been asking myself that question A LOT during the Mike Young era
The last three possessions Cal has grabbed our ball handlers around the perimeter with no whistles.
The Venmo must have cleared at half. They have called multiple unwarranted travels, ignore Cal hacking and called at least two charges blocking fouls.
This is becoming laughable.
That was the third time they let Cal get away with defensive goal tending tonight. Young scored anyway but they wouldn't have whistled it. Cal keeps smacking the backboard after the ball is up.
They have also been smacking our players continually. No whistles for us this game first half or second.

I thought the same thing. I was fairly certain the rule is that you're not allowed to contact the backboard once the shot is in the air.
