Who gets #9?
The Hokies face off against the Yellow Jackets both looking for their 9th win of the season. The Hokies are coming off a painful loss against Wake Forest. They had no answer for Hildreth's elbow and Hunter Sallis driving the lane.

Georgia Tech is on a four game losing streak with losses to FSU, Clemson, SMU and Syracuse. They are 8-10 overall and 2-6 in the ACC. They beat Boston College and Notre Dame. Other ACC losses were to UNC and Duke. They won most of their buy-in games but lost to the Univ of North Florida.

Their starting rotation is hectic to predict. It appears Terry, Ndongo, and George start consistently. George is at the point, but Terry will get the majority of touches if healthy. Onwuchekwa seems to be starting at center but doesnt contribute much. Don't understand him getting 20 minutes a contest but he may be out with an injury so may not matter much. Jaeden Mustaf and Kowacie Reeves appear to be out injured as well. Luke O'Brien has been out for quite a few games but may be back tonight. If Onwuchekwa is out, expect to see Duncan Powell get the majority of minutes in the paint.

As a team, they are shooting 42% inside and 33% from the perimeter. They don't really do anything exceptionally well. They control the ball with limited turnovers.

Stoudamire has them playing fast but doesn't seem cohesive. Not sure if it's the injuries or just needing more time to learn what Stoudamire is looking for. They seem to get bogged down offensively if they don't score in transition. The only thing they remotely do well is rebound the ball so if the Hokies are going to get a win in Atlanta they will need to fight on the boards.

Defensively they seem to utilize mostly a 2-3 zone. They are very susceptible to transition baskets. Florida State blitzed them early on breakaways. They don't transition well and give up alot of corner threes. They tend to lose guys at the baseline opposite the ball so Lawal could get quite a few opportunities at alley oop buckets.

This is a team the Hokies resemble the most so it will come down to who finishes possessions best.

The Jackets injuries really shortens their bench so could be a factor.

I was thinking the same thing. We don't know how to effectively use the backboard!

I seldom speak to loluva grads, but when I do, I tell them I want large fries.

We've had 11 offensive rebounds and only 4 second chance points. Ouch!

They are letting GT get away with so much contact in the paint on the defensive end.

All of a sudden all we do is foul and they aren't making a single mistake (in the refs eyes)

Were the refs paid in cash or venmo for a ass reaming like this?

They put somebody on the line. He misses, they say woops wrong guy this guy is going to shoot two. Except if it was the other guy he didn't have possession and it COULD NOT have been a shooting foul.

So many baskets called back for tech and phantom calls against us. They are in the bonus and only called 2 against us.

Powell just shoved Poteat four feet to keep him from getting the offensive rebound

Getting hammered, bullied on shots and rebounds with no calls. Yet, they call ticky-tack on every shot at the rim.

We put the K in Kwality

7 fouls to 2. Hmm 🤔

We put the K in Kwality

Fouls are 9-2 ... and they are more physical than us

Wessler is awful and these refs are not calling an even game

Venmo hit at halftime.

Either that or cash but this is the worst called game I have seen in a LONG time.

I've come to expect it for any game Lee Cassell is a part of.

finally a foul on GT

Danny is always open

no chance that is a foul on the 3

Danny is always open

Powell with the longest leg kick out I have seen this season to get 3 shots

Boeheim is a terrible announcer. Low energy, low volume and obvious analysis.

We put the K in Kwality

never a foul called when we drive...every time they do

Danny is always open

10-3 foul count under 4:00 left.

I hate poor officiating...but at least be consistent.

Just looked up on espn app. 15-6 for the game.

We put the K in Kwality

dont they give out technicals for flopping?

Reched any chance at a comeback

we cant' even get shot off the last 2 mins

That last possession was so impossibily bad.

Insanely winnable game. More FGA, 3's, Boards. Refs didn't help, but we compounded the issue.

Fire Whit.

We could have done better but the refs put them on line shooting FT's multiple times for nothing fouls, ignored their fouls on us, and even called back buckets we made for phantom offensive fouls somewhere else.

Hokies shot 11 for 33 inside perimeter and 11 for 26 from 3. Can't expect to win many games you miss 20 layups.

Three turnovers in first half. FOURTEEN in second half.

I think I've done it....I've acquired immunity to the losses at this point. I watched us throw that one away last night on like 10 different plays and felt almost nothing! I'm in peak mid-season form now.

For the forseeable future, mens hoops is about making the fucking ACC tournament- not the big dance, sadly.

Might not even do that. Got to be in top 15.

Right now the three out are UVA (2-6), BC (1-7) AND Miami (0-8).

We need to beat UVA both times to stay out of the basement. Game is at BC so unfortunately have mentally written that off as a loss. They do play Miami again so could use a win there too. Syracuse and Notre Dame are only other possible wins on ACC slate.

Don't see them beating Clemson x2, UNC, SMU, Louisville, or FSU.

I see the absolute crazy upset happening for at least one of Clemson, UNC, SMU, Louisville, or FSU. (Most likely FSU).

With our inconsistency, I would not be totally shocked if we were the team that gave Miami their only ACC win.
