They have to agree to it in non-con games before the games start. Apparently they did not do that today. It's standard in ACC games.

I was wondering that as well during game 1. I didn't watch much baseball last year but i dont recall seeing the double bass.
Just googled it - NCAA approved it for all divisions starting this year. Looks like it was in place last year in the SEC. Looks to be governed at the conference level (in use for every in conference game) and I'm guessing its an optional thing for non-conference games. So, like the decision to have 7 inning games today instead of 9, both teams had to agree to use the double bass for the game/series.

Bounced back with a 27-1 win in 7 innings today
So we outscore Bucknell 52-9 this weekend and go 2-1, sounds about right for VT.
So we can score in chunks - that much is evident. What I want to see is how consistent we are on offense and minimizing the mid to late-game pitching and/or defensive meltdowns.
I think coach underestimated them after game 1 so approached game 2 as bullpen by committee and it blew up in his face.
The late game walk three in a row and then misjudge an easy fly ball that turns into three runs certainly didn't help.

Hokiesports remains mostly pitiful as best as I can tell. Pretty much at the bottom of the heap with E$ecPN with inaccuracies, or no information at all.
I don't believe this is affiliated officially with the Athletic Department. I believe the official Athletic Department is Virginia Tech HokieSports and has links to the official radio feeds and the ability to buy tickets.

I'll just note, it would be egregious if the VT athletic department did not own HokieSports as a trademark and others were using it. But, I also thinks this totally possible.
