For those hoping to catch some afternoon baseball today, well, you have to wait another day. Due to the weather they decided to shift the series by a day, and the 3-game series will now start at 2pm on Saturday.

Trail 4-2 after 6 in game 1
UNCG starting pitcher has gone 7 innings now. Hokies still trail 4-2.
Hokies held scoreless again in the 8th.
Tell me where you have heard this before....
Bullpen gives up 3 walks and then a bases loaded single.
6-2 now in 9th with UNCG still batting
Onto bottom of the 9th. Trailing 6-2
Hokies lose 6-2
Game #2 underway. Man I hate this right field camera angle
Yeah don't understand why no centerfield camera. Had it all last season
Mid 2nd, and Marciano has already struck out 5 batters. 0-0 heading into the Hokies' half of the inning.
Houghes doubles down the line on a hit and run play - 1-0 Hokies.
Followed up by a triple 2-0 Hokies
And another run scored on a FC. 3-0
Good guys up 6-0 now
Baseball now 6-2 in bottom of 8th
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?!?!
Won game 2
6-2 final
Play again at 1pm today to finish the series.
Play at JMU on Wednesday at 3pm as well.
Marciano had 7 strikeouts to move to 2-0
I got distracted after the 2nd inning. I'm surprised he only had 7 Ks - he had racked-up 5 after 2 innings. Did he only pitch through the 3rd?
He needs to be nicknamed "Rocky".
Late to the thread here - Hokies up 4-2, betting in the bottom of the 4th.
three straight 2-out singles make it 5-2 before the end of the inning. Heading to the top of the 5th.
McCann goes yard to left - 6-2
i can't begin to imagine what its like on our turf to stretch a single and have to slide into 2nd going full speed... it must smell like burnt polyester
I would imagine the rubber pellets down in the turf help you slide like dirt would. But then afterwards you have a shoe or pant leg full of them, aka turf turds.
more two-out hitting - 7-2 hokies, end of 5.
seriously with the cameras - whoever is managing the camera behind the plate can't track the ball at all
Grady double down the line followed by another single makes it 8-2.
Edit: end of 6th
Lecurto sp? just watching pitches with the bases loaded and one out.
Hokies load the bases in the bottom of the 8th and come away with nothing. Still 8-2 heading into the final frame.
and here comes the walks and just the wrong time
which is immediately wiped-out by a double-play
Which is followed by more garbage bullpen pitching. 8-3 with bases loaded and another pitcher coming in.
Feels like the Hokies escaped with a five run win...geez
Hokies (eventually) close the door, win 8-3, take the weekend series 2-1. Announcers going on about how good this opponent is, and how this could be an early measuring stick for the Hokies.
Well let's hope the bullpen gets better against this measurement.
Back in action against JMU at 3pm on Wednesday
