Thought we could have a running thread for assistants. Not sure if each assistant needs its own thread.

247 reporting Jens Danielsen hired as assistant OL coach:
Well, Damn! Pick him up!!!
He obviously doesn't need to sleep.
Came to the right place
Or he can sleep with one eye open!
This type of clever keeps me TKP-ing. And LOL-ing.
These are key hires I like to see. A lot of times certain coaches aren't as good when they don't bring key guys with them.
Good example is Robert Anae was not the same at NC State without his QB coach Jason Beck who had been at BYU UVA and Syracuse previously.
Did Jason Beck help Robert Anae call that lateral to the tackle against us? If so, kudos to him
He was a GA with the Baylor OL when they were QB'd by Charlie Brewer, the younger brother of former VT QB Michael.
That is a West Virginia ass name right there.
Edit: My phone can't even wrap its head around that name.
The better part is that its Jens Danielsen His son's name is Ram. Weirdly enough best I can tell he's from Washington went to HS in Kansas and played college at LA Tech
Thanks, I was looking for that info, but gave up when I didn't see a wiki page.
Sounds Scandinavian to me
I was thinking large Scandinavian, blonde haired power lifter type. A real Viking type dude that you don't want to mess with.
real first in, last out kind of guy
a chieftain's son
He comes and goes as he pleases and no one says otherwise.
On the topic of interesting names with ties to Virginia Tech.
We just offered Sirpaul Cheeks. Sirpaul "Jesus in cleats" Cheeks.
I don't care position or stars. That is a goddamned All-Time All-Name
He would dominate in water polo, but his Passion is football.
Do you need cleats when you walk on water?
Sandals will do
But then he'd be "Jesus in sandals" playing water polo.
Jesus in a Speedo....
So Jesus
"Danielsen was the Co-Offensive Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at Navarro College. "- Damn Whit Babcocks wet dream...
think of the savings we can have when we pay him $50k as an assistant coach and we can just get rid of the rest!
