The Ladies travel to Greensboro today to take on the GA Tech Yellowjackets in the 8 vs 9 matchup in the ACC tournament. Ga Tech is a 3.5 point favorite. The Hokies took down a high-flying Yellowjacket team on Jan 9 to end the then #13 Jackets 16(i think) game winning streak. They are currently on a 4 game losing streak.
In the first game Dunn and Morgan scored 33 and 28 points. The Hokie starters all scored 17 or more points led by Wenzel with 24. GA Tech typically plays 9 or 10 players and does not seem to have a consistent starting line up.
We only had 10 turnovers in the first game; we probably need to do as well or better to win today. 6'6" Termis only averages about 20 min per game. When she is not on the floor, the Hokies match up pretty well with the Yellowjackets.

You can tell the seniors want to keep playing. Rest are a bit of a mess. Micheaux and Ekh are 9 for 13. Rest of team are 5 for 20.

We've looked slow the entire game, like we're a step late on everything. Their FG% inside the arc in this game is abysmal. Really limped down the stretch. I wonder if part of that is due to the lack of depth.
Duffy has others available that she used most of the season but the last two weeks it's been only 7 maybe 8. Today only played 7.
My bigger problem was it seemed like alot of hero ball today. Don't have the personnel to play that way for sure. As you mentioned, the interior shooting was awful but they compounded it by not having anyone underneath to rebound.
I wasn't able to watch, every time I checked in the first half and to start the third quarter it looked close. What happened?
was a 2 point game with 8.5 minutes left in the game... then it went 22-9 down the stretch
They let GT hit three straight 3s without scoring. Took it from a 3 point game to a 12 point game in about a minute and a half.
.....and that is why they were shut out of ACC awards this year....
