Just turned 60 last Saturday and had my 8th TKPversary two weeks before that. Only fan site I actually subscribe to and love the community and support here.

It's crazy how much a part of my life this place is. It's still by far my most visited site, even if I don't post much. Thanks for what you have created, Joe.

Welcome to the world of savory oatmeal. Use chicken stock/broth or a scoop of collagen powder, add Lawry's seasoned salt and some turmeric, and it will taste like a hearty bowl of chicken soup. I usually top that with green tobasco and a couple runny eggs. Or melt some of your favorite shredded cheese in it and make cheesy oatmeal that tastes like a heartier bowl of grits. It's a very versatile grain that can be used in so may interesting ways other than a sweet, hot, breakfast cereal.

All of these things are good for you and work with Type 2 individuals. Walnuts are a good source of Omega3, coco has a high level of nitrous oxide precursors. so excellent for blood pressure.
Berries for polyphenols. Greek yogurt is good for digestion and gut biome and a good source of protein.

I ended up here in a time where I was trying to be optimistic about the football team. Fuente was new, and I was hoping things would be amazing. They haven't been. But, I've enjoyed it here.
I've been cutting back a bit due to other obligations. But I'll be around.

I remember lurking around here starting in 2012, but I had to create a profile in 2014 when Josh Stanford and Antone Exum dropped a track and I knew if Bud Foster heard it, he would have said " 'tone rapped his nuts off on that track."

11 years, 6 months for me.
This site is a great life distraction. And, even better, it's Hokie Sports Focused (and then mayo and desserts as side topics). Can't. Beat. It!!!

It'll be 13 years for me this fall, though I think I started lurking before and during the 2011 season.
I can say this now...not only am I not a Beard, when I made this account I still couldn't grow a Beard. I know, I know. I shouldn't have misled y'all like that.
But I have a righteous Beard now. I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me. Happy this place is still here, and happy to be here.

14 years and 2 months and I bet I haven't averaged even a post per month, but my knowledge of the game (thanks French!) and appreciation for what it means to be a Hokie (congrats Page!) are worth every penny. Being a part of the community here is an extension of the amazing feeling of "home" I felt in Blacksburg that made me choose Tech 25 or so years ago.
Thanks, Joe.

A tad over 8 years but probably lurked a little longer. This site is second to none; came over when HH lost all merit and posted more regular when 247 became toxic ass.
Thanks Joe for hosting a great forum with the best setup.

12 years almost to the day with an account. I know I definitely read and lurked in 2012 after the Danny Coale catch and might've followed during that 2011 season in my dorm room.

Hard to believe I first made an account 9.5 years ago. I lurked for a bit before then, but graduating right at the tail end of the Tyrod dominance and subsequent shift to LT3, I too needed some explanation of why we suddenly were not good and just never left.

Lurked for the first four - joined for the last 11...TKPC for as long as it's been around. Plan to keep it up however long you wanna keep this thing running, my dude. 🦃

Love this place and thanks for all you do Joe. But ice cream trumps all desserts!
Ok back to the shadows for me...
Really cold cheesecake is like ice cream.
FTFY.
Cheesecake is the best of both worlds.
Turkey legs are obviously the best dessert
FTFY
Can't believe I've been here since I was a student... feels like a lifetime ago (because it was)
TIL you are so well spoken and professional that I imagined you being 45-50 years old. You are in fact about 10 years younger.
I've always felt that it's important to be able to effectively articulate your thoughts through writing.
Your tone/voice reads maturely for someone in their mid 30s.
Makes me wonder how old you think some users are
I can tell you I don't know how old Leslie is.
I'm certainly guilty of forgetting that you can click on a user and their profile has their graduation year...

You guys are the best. I just checked and I've been on here for over 10 years. Hard to believe. Stay golden Pony Boy.
Been a member of this site for more than one third of my life now and can't imagine getting my Hokie news anywhere else. Love this place

I've certainly enjoyed being here for ~11 of those years.
I have diabetes. Pie is the enemy. Cake is the enemy. May I interest you in sugar free snack wafer day?
How about a nice hot bowl of Quaker oats?
Oatmeal sucks now that I can't put anything in it.
I'm purely cinnamon oatmeal at this point. I might occasionally use milk instead of water. But, it keeps it pretty benign.
I also eat grits with just black pepper. Soooo... maybe I'm weird.
Do people not season their grits? cause I think those are the wierd onss
Yep!

I recently started making congee in my rice cooker. Game changer.
Greek yogurt, chopped walnuts, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries or strawberries, cocoa powder.

My dad has diabetes
Lol I wonder if most here now knows of that interaction.
I remember. Pepperidge Farms remembers too.
Mayonnaise and cheese. On Pussy Touchdowns.
Well, you can't live forever.
But if you eliminate pie, you can make it FEEL like forever.
THE TEAM THE TEAM THE TEAM GO SPORTS.
I love sports and I love broccoli, that's why I'm here.
Had to check. Almost 12 years 😳😳
Y'all this site got me through dark times back then. Thank you Joe for creating this community. It's really been a great ride
Yup. Same here 11 years and 9 months. And some dark times for me too. You and I have had some parallels for sure.
Shoot HT your resiliency is a model to us all. I've had a nice walk in the park compared to you. And I hope you and the family are doing well!
Thanks Brett- Fam is good. Hope you and yours are the same.
The dark times ended? I think as Hokie fans we've just learned to cope within the darkness.
Well we invite the darkness all the time... Exit light-enter night! Can't complain when it answers the invitation!
Dammit Skippy, take your leg. But I'm not happy about it.
I made my account when we first started sucking so I could get explanations for why we sucked.
Over a decade later and we still suck. But now I know why! Thanks TKP :)
We're still ass, but we're not that bad.
Unlike our basketball team, our football team did not beat expectations this year D:
but points for the reference xD
If it weren't for TKP, I'm not sure what I would've done during lectures, but I still wouldn't have been taking notes. Thanks for the good times Joe!

15 years?! That's some real dork magic there my fellow TKPers and Hokies......
Since I've got a 5m old, were gonna need atleast another 15y so I can escape reality for a bit
I had been a long time lurker but had never joined. Ended up joining when I saw Paige was in the Iditarod and thought I had to post something.

11 yrs 5 mos for me.
12.5 years here, since sophomore year. And I was lurking before that. Believe I was initially drawn to the site by Joe's ALL CAPS tweeting.
Grateful for the best online VT community-- period!
13 years 7 months and I definitely lurked for a while first
As someone whose been along for the ride for nearly all 15 years,

You are appreciated!!!!

I've went over here after lurking over at firebryanstinepring.com and the beamerball websites. Official TKPer since 2015.
