Looks like game is on Thursday.

Lets go Hokies........

Go Hokies!!

Well now there's only one thing left to do...

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Win the whole damn thing!

So Wikipedia has a WBIT page and a WNIT page with different teams. Anyone know whats's up with that?

crowd sourcing isn't always accurate?

Looks like there are BOTH.

Order of Tournaments - # teams
1. NCAAT - 68
2. WBIT - 32
3. WNIT - 48

Surprising to me is the mix of teams. 16-17 BC got into WBIT but there are 20 teams in WNIT with at least 21 wins.

From the Roanoke Time article last week

The 32-team WBIT will be held at host sites for the first three rounds, which will air on ESPN Plus. The semifinals and final will be held at Butler's historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and will air on ESPNU.

When the Hokies were last left out of the NCAAs in 2019, the WNIT was the only option for NCAA Tournament wallflowers. The WNIT still exists, but the NCAA-run WBIT is now the top option for NCAA bystanders.

The NCAA, which runs the NIT on the men's side, started the WBIT so there could be an equivalent NCAA-sponsored tournament for NCAA wallflowers on the women's side. Teams have to pay to host games in the WNIT, but the NCAA foots the bill for WBIT teams. Virginia played in the inaugural WBIT last year

Thanks everyone for the infos.

Slightly off topic: NCAA.com editors are all over the place. (edit: these also depend on which page/article on NCAA.com you start from)

Um based on everything you know about the NCAA, do you really think they hire competent people?
