No surprise. Neither was a contributor this year. But tallest 2 players. Need to hit portal for starting center and backup.
Its funny- we don't win in football or mens hoops and we missed the dance and stumbled down the stretch in womens hoops... but every and any player that leaves in those sports- we didn't need them. lol. Maybe one day they will be replaced by better players, but I haven't seen it in terms of W/L

Did Lynn Kidd get a half million dollars of legit NIL averaging 11 ppg for a last place miami team? No he did not and you know it. I never said Kidd wasn't good enough to play here- we gave Severn a scholarship FFS. What I said was he wasn't worth 500K in legit NIL, and I was 100% correct.

When he was a ghost in our game- literally did nothing- 7 pts in 29 mins, 1 block- yeah I said he sucked. Why ? he does suck. But its 2025, 11ppg is the new 30 ppg. I guess. He's a pedestrian big that helped his team finish last in the weakest ACC ever. Nah, I don't think sucks is too harsh a word.
I believe in Duffy, she will come through.
The fact that 6 foot Kale Peterson was our backup center instead of either White or Hazelton tells you everything you need to know about their skill set.
I had hopes for Hazelton, but apparently they were going for the redshirt. In her limited playtime she looked like she had hustle.
I will give White a lot of credit by the end of the year she was getting up and down the floor a lot faster and easier. But she was put in at the end of the games and while decent rebounding she really never made a move to the basket. How do you get a 6'5" Center that is afraid of contact shooting? Based on the crowd cheers for her, this has to be 100% playtime moving forward.

Add Lani White to the portal thread here. This one hurts. She really came on at the end of the season. Averaged 9.6ppg, 3.3rpg
Sounds like she misses the West Coast and will look to get closer to home
I think Lani only has one more year left (theoretically) but yeah, she will be missed. But she could also see that Mackie was coming on more and more to steal some minutes. Granted I would much rather have Lani and Mackie than Carleigh in most games.
Kate Sears my have been the bigger concern for Lani.
Sears slots into Tilly's minutes. White had carved out her own spot. Agree with above that I would rather see Nelson and White over the walking miss a layup turnover.

wouldn't shock me if Duffy pushes for more of a position-less approach, at least on O. Sears certainly fits that mould.
A starting 5 with some combination of Wenzel, Sears, Nelson, Suffren, Baker, Peterson, and Wells at the guard spots looks promising if turnovers can be limited.
Get a transfer C and let Trent and Jenkins provide depth.
We play in a monster league in womens hoops. We need some portal upgrades for certain.
I believe we have 6 scholarships available.
I'd be mildly worried if we don't land a guard and at least one post player.
Realistically I want at least 2 post players and our recruits to hold course on Guards.
