Really solid offer list as well. Glad we were able to land him.

Fire Whit.

Seems like good clay for Fontel to work with.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Good land but this makes me think we aren't 100% satisfied with the Wake guy, Ayden Greene and the young talent. And that Tucker Holloway and Keylen Adams aren't recovering quickly from injury.

Also think it's unfortunate we had to go pretty far down on our board for a linebacker, and interesting (not in a good way) that we decided to take fliers on guys at CB and DT even though those aren't technically positions of need. Would like to add at least one more OL before the start of the season as well

Josh Clarke is likely out for the season. That's why they took a CB. There is depth at CB. But, not much of it is proven.

Well, Donavon Greene has spent more time injured than actually playing during his career, so I certainly don't fault them for picking up another option. You could certainly have a point about others not recovering quickly as well.

The senator already pointed out the injury to Clarke is what likely prompted another CB pickup, and there has been talk about some DL -> OL shifts which could address both the DT pickup and lack of OL additional pickups.

Or it could just be a dumpster fire waiting to happen - who the hell knows at this point.

Additionally, it could be that we didn't get an OL or LB we wanted and told Mines to do his thang with the extra roster spot.

I'm pretty sure that's how you get 10 rbs

Interesting, who are the DL moving to OL? Young guys I would assume? Any instant impact?

A Junior? So that means he has four more years of eligibility, right?

Was he a Prime croot at JSU?

Every second counts

Looking at his 247 page, yes and no. Spencer committed to So. Miss. June 2022, decommitted in October 2022. He visited JSU in October 2022 and then received an offer from JSU in Nov. 2022. He committed and signed to JSU in Feb. 2023.

Sanders was hired by Colorado in Dec. 2022. So, Sanders probably convinced Spencer to decommit from So. Miss and then gave Spencer an offer, but Sanders was gone before he ultimately committed.
