UT and Vandy could get kicked from SEC if they opt-in to new Tennessee State Law

Article

I just read an interesting article regarding a newly enacted state law in Tennessee that would give universities in the state immunity from antitrust lawsuits by athletes/others, and shift any liability to the NCAA itself. Apparently the SEC is requiring its schools to sign a "Loyalty Pledge" stating that they will opt-out of any legislation similar to the one in Tennessee, or risk getting kicked out of the conference. It will be interesting to see who blinks first here.

Update: it looks like each of the Power 4 conferences will be requiring members to sign such "Loyalty Pledges"
