Top 5 all time players

Its offseason. I had a hit from the vape and I came across Shady McCoy doing this for shitt https://www.youtube.com/shorts/697DlErQ5p0

I got to thinking: who are ours?

I posit this:

  • MV7
  • Bruuuuuuuuce
  • KJ
  • Tyrod
  • Jake Grove

It seems like I am thoroughly disrespecting Antonio Freeman, Kam Chancellor, Wilson, Williams, and DHall (ugh)

Bruce and Michael definitely tied for first. Corey Moore for his college play; Lee Suggs and KJ tied for 5th(Suggs 27 TD in single season; KJ-2nd only to Cyrus Lawrence in career yards and against better competition).

That said I don't disagree with your choices either.

From the 2018 VT-uva game-"This is when LEGENDS are made!"

The must have list:
Corey Moore
Bruce Smith
Jake Grove
Frank Loria

The next up:
Cornell Brown
Jimmy Williams
Brandon Flowers
Carroll Dale
Bob Schweickert
Brandon Flowers
Ben Taylor
Mike Vick
Kevin Jones

Honestly I think the fifth is Brown over Vick, but only because he did it longer, 2 AA fist team seasons speaks loudly. Vick didn't have the same kind of season in 2000 as he did in 99.

Vick not on the must have list is just flat out wrong. CMV.

Lotta disrespect on Kyle Fuller. Kendall was the higher rated prospect, but I'd say Kyle had the best career of any Fuller. Just thinking about the Alabama and Georgia Tech games alone makes me giddy

I've said it before and I'll say it again... If Kyle Fuller stays healthy through 2013 that team finishes this season undefeated after the Bama loss.

He's just the prototypical guy for a bud foster defense

You say that, but I think that 2013 Duke game featured 4 interceptions by our defense and an absolutely incompetent display by our offense.

(Did Kendall Fuller have all 4 of those interceptions?)

And if Kyle was healthy, it would've been 5 pics and we'd def win

It would be impossible for me to rationally put them in numeric order or to rate anyone from before the mid 80s.

But I would say in the time I can evaluate, it is Bruce Smith, Michael Vick and then everyone else. Those two were pivotal to the program in addition to being amazing players. So many great ones in the time frame I know, but I don't think they changed the entire direction of the program with their impact.

You know, even Grant Noel beat UVA.

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

Tyrod: 3 ACC Championships. ACC Player of the Year. Orange Bowl Victory. Stayed for all 4 years. 3rd and 31. Winning record vs. FSU.

MV: NC appearance, Heisman Finalist. 1 Big East Title, Gator Bowl Victory. #1 overall Draft Pick.

B. Smith: NFL all time Sack leader. 22 sacks in one season (1983). #1 overall Draft Pick.

Suggs: 27 Rushing TDs in a single season (2000 Season). Everyone was focused on MV and Suggs just had a season.

KJ: Set the single season rushing record. Drafted 1st round. Video game run against LSU.

Some that would be in the "next" category that haven't been metioned...
Cam Chancellor
Caroll Dale
Cyrus Lawrence
Ryan MF Williams

Logan Thomas has to be at least on the second list. Honestly who did he have to even throw to after his sophomore year?

Sure would love to have Adibi right about now too!

Both Adibi's
