If I recall correctly, Tobi declared for the NBA draft, with the option to retain eligibility, and had already stated if he did not go the NBA route, he would be back at VT
This is correct. He did not get invited to NBA Combine and feedback was he likely would not be drafted so is returning.
With every ounce of respect I can say this with- Lawal is not an NBA player. He is a dime a dozen- an athletic wing that really can't shoot the 3. They grow on trees in the NBA. NAW is a much, much better player and he comes off the bench. NBA was not realistic for Lawal.
NAW may come off the bench but he is top 5 on Minnesota when it comes to minutes.
I didn't realize his cousin was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, they did a puff piece on them before the last game.
Those 2, RJ Barrett, Jamal Murray, Dillion Brooks pulled a "VT" and did not medal at the olympic last summer. Borderline criminal. The best canadian team ever by far, and they didn't post.
They actually played each other when NAW was at VT and SGA was at Kentucky. That was when I first heard about it! I think the good guys lost by 7 that time haha.
